FREE Rocketfish Stylus at Best Buy With Coupon

February 21, 2012 by Deal Seeking Mom 20 Comments

I’m sorry — it seems that Best Buy is not accepting this coupon even though it appears to be legitimate since it’s hosted on the Best Buy website.

Here’s a great printable coupon for a FREE Rocketfish Stylus (a $16.99 value!) available at Best Buy!  You’ll need to take this printable coupon with you, offer valid for in-store purchase only.

Thanks, The Freebie Blogger!

This coupon is INVALID. I went to Best Buy to redeem it this morning and was told that the coupon is specific to one customer and can only be used once.

Seems like the attached coupon has been used already so no one else can use it.

      It’s invalid because it’s not 1/23/12 yet.

Another blog (mojosavings.com) just posted that this coupon is a fake. I can’t verify this either way, but it does seem likely.

Just came from Best Buy. I was told that Best Buy NEVER honors coupons. The only thing they do is “get a free —— when you buy XXXXXX.” Nice stylus, but hardly worth $17.

I went to Best Buy and they wouldn’t take the coupon because the pric didn’t come off when they scanned it. I called corporate and was told to go to the store and ask for a manager and tell them to override the coupon. I went back to the store and the manager still said not without a call from corporate. I called corporate back from the store and of course couldn’t get the same person I talked to as I only had a first name. It took 3 more calls because I kept getting transferred and cut off. In the end the only thing they offered was a $17 gift card which they will mail me. I’ll be using the gift card and then not shopping at Best Buy anymore. Not worth my time or trip back to the store. The first person I talked to didn’t give me a case number. Lesson learned, always asked for a case number. I made sure to ask the person who told me they would mail me a gift card for their full name and a case number in case that doesn’t come. Hope others have better luck!

I went yesturday & when scanned, it said “already been redeemed” so the store manager called corporate & was told this offer was emailed to a customer that actually bought a tablet & this was an offer emailed to them

Just came back from Best Buy. They won’t honor this coupon, and said it’s a fake. I certainly didn’t have any reason to disagree with them.

This coupon is not fake. They were actually sent out to best buy customers but the thing is that they can only be redeemed once because each individual coupon has a unique bar code that only allows it to be used once.

I got this coupon because I bought a tablet. The coupon was part of an e-mail. If you closely read the terms it says its good only once. The part you don’t see is that the coupon is from a thank you for buying the product. My coupon was honored

    Chad,

What are you talking about (a one-use only coupon)???

Best Buy wouldn’t honor the coupon at all…not even for first time users.

It specifically states on the offer “Coupon is valid until 7/31/12”

Best Buy is not honoring any of these coupons, not even on the first day of the offer.

I honestly don’t know why anybody is surprised by this. Best Buy has been the most dishonest electronics company, since the day they started business. They have more class action lawsuits against them for bait-and-switch, than any other electronics company.

My wife used to manage a Best Buy store and it was store policy to hide inventory that was on sale, tell the customers they were out of stock, and try to up-sell them on a more expensive item. This was taught by corporate and expected of every manager in every store. I’m sure that is exactly the same thing that happened here.

They put out a coupon, knowing that people would drive many miles. Then they decide to not honor the offer, hoping the customer would purchase something else at full price. They need to realize how much money people lost, just in gas, on this bogus offer.

As I said, my wife worked for Best Buy. The company treated her very well and she made good money, but she quit after 4 months. She just couldn’t do many of the dishonest things they wanted her to do to the customers. It was against her better judgement morally and ethically to rip off innocent people.

You people should Google Best Buy and read horror reviews from the thousands of customers that have been lied to, ripped off, and cheated by this company. I couldn’t even begin to tell you some of the things I used to see Best Buy make their employees do. It literally made me sick to my stomach.

The coupon is valid for one time use but it is SPECIFICALLY FOR THAT CUSTOMER IT WAS E-MAILED TO. Each barcode is unique. So the one person who posted this is ruining the experience for everyone. I work for Best Buy and am having a hard time with my legit customers who got this coupon because of this fake being passed around. Please take this down so customers will stop yelling at me!

    Timothy,

Your wife has obviously never worked for BestBuy (or at least managed). That is not a store policy handed down from Corporate. That is just a dumb way of doing business especially when sales are vendor supported. This coupon is good and management in stores are aware of the coupon as of Sunday Feb 26th. Coupon must be presented and to be used only once

The coupon is mailed out to Rewardzone customers with a unique barcode. If you did not receive the coupon via email, then you cannot use it. If your coupon doesnt work, simply take an employee to a kiosk and print it out in front of them through your email. Very simple

I work for best buy and this coupon does in fact work. It says so on our employee news. The reason why its not working for everyone is because it was sent to silver rewardzone members, that coupon was specifically sent to certain people. Best buy does honor this coupon, for those silver members. P.S. TO SIGN UP FOR A REWARDZONE MEMBERSHIP IS FREE

Coupon says ‘limit one offer per coupon, per household’. Because it does not say ‘must show proof of tablet purchase’, they made a mistake and they really should honor it.
