I purchased one of these tags back in January but I was told it was only for the Philly area. Nice to know they’re branching out.

For those who are wondering, the dollar goes to the Dave Thomas Foundation or Adoption.

I haven’t seen that promotion in the Phoenix market. The last few times I have been to Wendy’s here there is a coupon for a Free Wendy’s single burger if you do their survey. The coupon is good for 14 days and you are supposed to only do one survey per month. However, you can do more than one a month as long as you use a different phone number or email address.

I am in the Richmond, Va area. We have been doing it for a few years through our local SPCA. ( thats where the dollar goes) The key chains always run out within a few weeks. I tried to buy one in Feb and they were sold out in Richmond.

I just did some research and for the VA and MD area this promotional key chain ended and the proceeds went to GoodWill of Washington metro area.
Click HERE for the article. “Between January 4th and February 28th, 2010, any customer who purchases a Frosty™-shaped key tag at participating Wendy’s in the Greater Washington, DC region for $1, will receive a free Frosty with any purchase at Wendy’s for the remainder of 2010. The net proceeds from each key tag sold will go directly to Goodwill of Greater Washington to help fund the charitable agency’s job training programs for people with disadvantages and disabilities.”
If only I had known I would have purchased a couple of these!

I live just outside of Phoenix, and our Wendy’s is participating. I got one of the keytags at the start of the year, and it’s been great for my husband and I!

Thanks Rachael and Erin, I guess I need to go back to my Wendys here. It probably doesn’t help that I usually go through the drive thru! :-)

I saw this advertised at the stores in Greater Chicagoland (Northwest Indiana) at the beginning of the year but haven’t seen it recently. I’ll have to ask next time I go there.

Please note in my area it is one per person present. I love to bring Frosties’ home after running errands.

My parents in Albemarle, NC (near Charlotte) buy $1 coupon books for 7 junior Frosties’ (only done certain times of the year with the money going to various charities). It is perfect for my family of seven. My mom buys them 10 books at a time!

Ours went to Second Harvest. They already ran out right after I got onr for my key chain but before I was able to put one on a key chain for each child to go in their Easter basket. Bummer! So if you see them and want one to use as a birthday tag on a present or whatever snap em’ up. They go quick.

Why are these very old offers still being posted on the DSM website? This is from April and it’s showing up again TODAY. Can someone tell me what’s the deal with these? Most of the time they are exhausted or expired at this point. Please offer up some info on this. Thanks

It’s an older offer, but it should still be valid. The related links are previous posts that are still (usually) available. Sometimes an offer that’s not valid anymore will sneak by me, but it’s a good way for new readers to take advantage of some deals that may have been posted before they started reading.

I just ate at Wendy’s (Richmond VA) today and as I was waiting for my order, I saw a sign up on the wall talking about the keychain. Saying that if you paid $1 you would get the keychain and then for a whole year you would get a free Frosty Jr. when you purchase a meal. Too bad I didn’t read that BEFORE ordering or I would have asked!!! I didn’t read the year (assuming it was current!) but now I wonder if they just forgot to take it down! If it’s still going on, I sure would love to know. If it WAS current, they should be asking customers if they’d like to do it BEFORE they finish ordering! I love the idea and think it’s great for the Richmond SPCA, however, the SPCA’s seem to be very well known because they can afford the advertising (and are also always coming up with great ideas and events!) but not all rescues can afford to advertise and it just seems they need the money more than the well-known rescues. I wish more people would look into other local shelters/rescues and donate to them as well. :)

Since I couldn’t confirm it was going on this year via internet I called Wendy’s and asked. They said they were still doing it and that this was good til the end of the year. I suggested that the cashier ask the customers if they’d like to do it while they were ordering but she said that they did that when it first came out but didn’t have a whole lot of takers so they stopped. (You spend one measly dollar, it gets donated to a shelter that’s in YOUR area AND you get a FREE Frosty Jr. with EVERY meal for a whole year and not many takers?! SAD!!!!!) I then suggested they move the sign to the right side of the counter so people could read it BEFORE ordering and it seemed to go in one ear and out the other. (Sigh)
