Apparently you cannot sign up if you are from Wisconsin :(

Ther is no WI in the state dropdown menu.

Bummer! That’s really strange. It doesn’t seem that any other states are missing as far as I can tell. I wonder if it’s a mistake? I live in WI, too. :(

Too bad. I get enough junk mail as it is. Maybe I can send it to my work address LOL.

I signed up for this and MUCH to my surprise, I received a bill in the mail today for $21.31 for 12 months. I have not received a single copy of the (3 months free) magazine yet. I’m not a happy camper. Any suggestions as to what I should do about this? Should I contact the magazine, should I write something on the bill and send it back? I’m listening… :-) Thanks, Have a good day.

Are you sure it’s a bill? Often magazine companies send renewals that they make look like a bill to try to get people to resubscribe. It’s highly unlikely that you’d receive the 3-month subscription so soon though. It generally takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks to receive the first issue in a subscription and often it’s even longer.

        Hi Tara,
Yes, it says “account summary/payment information” at the top. It says my “discounted rate” is “total amount due” $21.31″. Due date is April 18. I won’t be sending the payment! I will carefully check the mail and see what else I might get. It’s definitely a bill. I thought it was a little early for the magazine, myself.
        Have a great weekend.

I got the same exact thing in the mail today and I haven’t received any magazines. I knew I should have run away as soon as I saw the privacy notice. This was a total scam. I’m printing out the web pages now in case the offer comes down. I want to be able to challenge them if they decide they want to pursue this.

I should also mention that my bill says I “ordered” on 3/24/11. I signed up for the free trial on 2/24/11. I have no idea what they are trying to pull, but yes this is clearly a bill.

Yes, same thing. I figured it took them 4 weeks to process all the info. Now we wait to see IF we’ll actually get the magazine. I will let you folks know. Have a good week. K

    Hi everyone

I received the same bill in the mail and came back here to check what everyone else said. I called the phone number on the back and talked to a man about it. He let me know that it is not actually a bill at all. He says it def does look like one but it is just to let you know that you will get a good deal if you actually decide to purchase the magazine.

Basically, he said that they have no power to charge anything because no credit card information was given and that the 3 magazines will be coming up in the next couple of months.

Also, if you do not want to be annoyed by the random “bill” popping in your mail. You can call the number on the back and cancel your subscription and they will no longer send it to you.

I received that “Subscription Invoice-Pay Now” too. I was confused too so I’m glad I looked this back up to see what others may have wrote. I received it a day after the magazine came.
