Earn 10% Back In Store at Walmart + More with Endorse!

September 26, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski 24 Comments

What if I said you could save 10% on all of your Walmart purchases every day — in stores and online?!? Almost sounds too good to be true… but it’s not.

I’ve been working behind the scenes with a new Facebook application called Endorse which allows you to get fantastic rewards for purchasing and sharing your favorite brands and products with others. They’re ready to test the program out, so they asked me to share a few of my favorite “endorsements” with you all.

Here’s how it works:

  1. “Endorse” your favorite brands and products, such as Walmart, Pampers Cruisers, or Olive Garden, via the Endorse application on Facebook.
  2. Share these brands with friends and family and/or shop for them yourself.
  3. Toss all of your receipts into the free Netflix-style mailers that Endorse sends you and drop them in the mail each week. And Endorse will be allowing you to email in receipts in the next few weeks, making it even easier!
  4. Earn your cash back!

Now the best part is that when just 5 friends follow and purchase your endorsement, everyone gets 10% back and yours is FREE!

Checks are mailed automatically as soon as your earnings reach $25, so let’s get started. Endorse Walmart today and then check out the weekly Walmart deals to plan your shopping trip. POP your receipt in one of the mailers and save an additional 10% or maybe even get your entire trip for FREE!

I don’t understand where it says when 5 friends purchase your endorsement then everyone gets 10% back and you get yours free… what does that mean?

Yes I am also slightly confused on that. What is purchasing the endorsement mean?

    Hi Nicole and Robin-

I am the CEO and founder of Endorse. Endorse pays you back 10% every time you buy your favorite products, shop at your favorite retailers, and eat at your favorite restaurants. The way it works is you click the “endorse” button on your favorite things, buy them as you normally do in the real world, and then send in your receipts as your “proof of purchase.”

You can also get your endorsed and purchased products for FREE by getting 5 others to do the same. After you endorse Walmart, you can then share it to your friends. When they click on the link, endorse, and buy, you get the “credit” for their purchases. If 5 do so, we reimburse you for your ENTIRE Walmart trip.

Does that answer your question? I am here to help so happy to hang around to make sure everyone understands it and has a great experience.

So is that 10% off your entire receipt or just the specific item you endorse and share with friends?

    Hi Melinda-

You get 10% off your entire receipt and you get “credit” for the product-level endorsement as well- so 10% off both. Shortly, we will have product-specific badges and rewards so the more loyal you to your products and brands, and the more friends you have endorsing and buying, the more cash back you will unlock. Right now, in our early days, we are making it easy with 10% flat cash back each time you buy.

There is a ton of value for endorsing specific products and not just endorsing Wal Mart- you should do both for maximum value.

    Hi Edith-

When you sign up you enter your home address and we send you Netflix-like mailers. They should arrive in 2-3 days but not to worry as you are rewarded from the day you endorse something. The mailers are pre-paid and self-addressed so you just have to toss them in the mail just like you do for Netflix.

    Hi Lacey-

The idea for Endorse is to connect brands to their most loyal and most influential customers. Right now it is very difficult for a brand to reward their customers at scale for buying their products. By bridging the gap from online to offline, we are creating value for both consumers and brands and we will charge brands for the service.

What happens if you need to return or exchange something and you have mailed in your receipts?? Do you accept copies?

    Hi Aly-

We do accept copies of the receipt- just make sure the entire receipt is visible. For a long list of items like Walmart or grocery, it will probably be easier for you to send the original. In the case where you need to return something, we are happy to send it back to you. In the near future we will have the capability for you to take a picture of the receipt with your camera phone and email it to us. Whatever is easiest for you.

How do you know what receipt would be free say for like Kohls. So I send in 3 kohls receipts and then five friends send in a receipt – how does free things work for stores and such like that? and so for like BP- is it anything you purchase there, gas, pop, chips – you get 10% back on?

    Hi Kristin-

First off, we tie your receipts to your endorsements in two ways: 1) each mailer is individually coded so we know which mailers come from which Endorse user, and 2) for receipts that are emailed into us, they have to come from your email address and are then tied to your endorsements- both retailers as well as specific products. We are able to do that because we have developed product-level recognition of receipts.

Every receipt from a retailer is clearly marked from a specific store or has an address on it than we can then tie to a retail establishment. So you don’t need to worry when you send in your receipts.

In addition, as we calculate your rewards, we also check to see if any of your followers for your endorsement have also bought. If 5 of your followers also purchase your endorsement, yours is FREE. If you endorse a retailer and you have 5 followers for say Kohl’s and they also all buy, we pay you back the average of all of their purchases.

For convenience stores such as BP, yes, you also get 10% off your bill. So you can endorse soft drinks or snack chips and buy at BP and you will earn “credit” for those purchases as well.

The whole idea of Endorse is that you should be rewarded for buying your favorite products wherever and whenever you already shop in the real world.

Thanks for that info- another couple questions- for pharmacies does prescriptions count towards 10% off. Also, lets say you use manufacturer coupons towards things at grocery stores and your total is significantly lower due to coupons do you get 10% off whats left that you pay or before coupons? Example at staples my total is $30 and I use $20 staples rewards to bring total to $10 what do I get 10% on – $30 or $10? Thanks for your information on this

Will you be endorsing other companies/products that we can follow also?

    Hi Kristin-

Thanks for your questions. We do not have the ability to allow people to endorse prescription drugs, unfortunately.

Regarding coupons, we reward you on what you actually pay out of pocket; so your endorse rewards are based on your total after your coupons. So in your Staples example above, you would get 10% back on $10.00.

    Hi Barbi-

We add new products and brands for you to endorse all the time. We have a criteria for including products so feel free to send in your requests to [email protected] and we’ll do our best to accomodate you.

    Hi Paula-

    That’s terrific!
All you need to do now is drop the receipt in the mailers we sent you, along with your other shopping, and we’ll handle the rest. You will get 10% back on what you spent and we will automatically credit you for the endorsement products you purchased. You dont need to do anything else.

Once you send them in, you will see an email from us notifying you that we received your mailer and then another one shortly thereafter when you can see your rewards in your account.

If you don’t see your favorite products, just send an email to [email protected] what you would like to see added and we’ll do our best to accomodate your requests.

My wife and I literally just bought our Chrysler town and country within last two months- is there any way to still get discount on that:) Also, do you only get the opportunity to turn in an edorsement once or can you turn in numerous receipts for as many times as we shop at Walmart (is this a one time thing)? Will we know if friends have shopped and purchased POP?

    Hi Matt-

    Thanks for checking out Endorse.

I wish we were around a few months ago as we need to have you endorse your favorite products before purchasing them. We are working hard to make sure we are a thriving business by the next time you are in the car market.

You will get your rewards each time you buy and POP (send in your receipts) your endorsements- wherever and whenever you shop. We want Endorse to become the place where you are rewarded for staying loyal to your favorite brands and products- and for introducing your friends to the same.

You can easily see when your friends endorse and POP on either your “Friends” tab or on your endorsed product pages. We are working hard to make it even easier to coordinate and buy the same products with your friends.

Please let me know what else we can do to make Endorse better for you.

Where is the 10% back coming from? Do the companies that we endorse reimburse us through you?
