We follow you on FB :) Our favorite home videos are the ones of my son at around two years old. He has autism and back then could not even look into our faces and basically had no connection to us even though we were/are his family. Now he’s eight and even though he has so far to go, those videos back then remind us of how far he has come.

My favorite home movie ever was caught on a Fisher Price video camera which recorded on cassette tapes. Christmas morning, after opening this delightful present, I took it outside to film around the neighborhood while my sister rode her new bike. While I was filming, our orange cat named Baby sped out from underneath my dad’s car which was parked in the road. He ran straight at a metal telephone pole and tried to scurry up it. He got about 3-4 feet and then slid back down, claws scraping against the metal to no avail. In the background, you can hear me screeching that I got it on tape. It was one of the most hilarious moments I can remember from my childhood.

Since we don’t own a video camera (yet!), my favorites are anything with my cutie-pie nephews in them!

My favorite moment captured on video was a Christmas morning when my kids were 7 and 2 (they are now 27 and 22). The memories themselves were wonderful, but the best thing about that video is that my 22-year-old daughter found it and sent it to my phone when I was visiting her 27-year-old son on the other side of the U.S.
I haven’t taken any video in a long time, but would love to get back into it because we’ve got some great special events coming up for which a Flip HD would be perfect. My oldest stepdaughter, who lives in Brazil, is getting married and the whole family is traveling to be there for her wedding (including her 23-year-old sister, who is serving in the Peace Corps in Rwanda).
A small video camera like the Flip would be perfect for its portability and unobtrusiveness.
Thanks for the opportunity!

“…my 22-year-old daughter found it and sent it to my phone when I was visiting her 27-year-old son on the other side of the U.S.” Um, that should have said her 27-year-old BROTHER (my son). Sorry!

Has to be my beautiful wedding, 20 years ago!

I don’t often pull out our video camera. Its just too much to deal with (which is why I like these new ones so much!). But earlier this summer my kids were enjoying the slip and slide outside. I wanted to capture some of the fun for my husband who wasn’t home so I pulled out the video camera. I had already been using the digital camera so it took several minutes for the kids to realize the switch. My oldest daughter’s reaction of “Are you videotaping us? Are you serious????” was the highlight of the clip!
