I have not really video tapes much. But if I did, I would love to video tape my family when my brother is in town. He lives out of state and due to his work schedule he does not get to come in but maybe 2-3 times a year. It is really hard on us since he lives so far away. It would be great to have those memories on video.

My favorite home video would have to be a video that has 3 family holiday gatherings on it, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas, for years past. It is my favorite because it contains footage of family that is no longer with us. Everyone is seen laughing a having a good time. Great times caught on film!

One of the best things we ever caught on video was when we brought my third child home from the hospital. My 22mo old looked at him and pointed and said, “is THAT yours? Are we keeping him?” It was precious and a great laugh!

We have very few home movies. Of those we have, capturing my son participating in a Disney Parade is one of my favorite.

A special moment that’s been captured in my home movies is of my dog doing tricks. Once in a while when I was eating something, my dog would stand up on me and beg. Her begging was her making this sad, but adorable type of cry. She’d cry a little bit and wag her tail at me. After hearing her cries for my food and seeing her wag her little tail, I would have to reward her with a bite or two of whatever it was I was eating.

My favorite home video is yet to be made, it’ll be the birth of our first son (not the actual birth), when my parents and family see him for the first time etc.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
