Join me every day this week for Back-to-School Giveaways. I’ll be posting 5-day giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!
As I’ve mentioned before, KIND Snacks have quickly become one of my favorite healthy snacks, and they’re especially great when I’m looking for a nutritious snack while I’m on the go. The makers of KIND believe that food should never be processed to the point that you can no longer tell what it is, and all of their bars are made from wholesome all-natural ingredients you can see and pronounce. With whole nuts and fruit held together with honey through a natural process that keeps them fresh, KIND snacks are packed full of flavor and have just the right amount of crunch!
KIND is a sponsor of the annual Great Kindness Challenge on August 14.
The Great Kindness Challenge is one day devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. This year’s goal is to have over one million children participate with the hope that this day will inspire a lifelong commitment to service and kindness.
From sunup to sundown, children around the world will accomplish simple, kind deeds using The Great Kindness Challenge Checklist from Kids for Peace. Visit The Great Kindness Challenge for more information and to sign up to participate!

I will be donating old toys to my church’s mops group for this year. They can no longer use the preschool we have so they need to come up with an alternative which will also include needing their own toys. I also stocked up school supplies so that in the late fall my family can pack shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Not sure if that would count but we decided to start doing a service project during the holiday season.

a friend of mine just have surgery, had to have a cyst & part of her thyroid removed (yikes). So I made her and her family dinner and had it delivered to them, so her buddy didn’t have to do any cooking.

I am going to have my kids sit down with the list and pick 5 things that they can do. Then we are going to make sure it gets done. (I’m going to guide them towards donating some toys as one of the things.) :-) Also, I teach at a Christian school, so I would like to try to get my students involved in some way, I’m thinking service project!

I took in a stray dog that was being shot at in a Publix parking lot (it was a very bad part of town) and paid for his medical bills, food and other expenses while I sought to find him a home (I have three rescues of my own already). He was the sweetest dog and I ended up finding a loving home with a young couple that spoil him!
