Back-to-School Giveaway: $100 in KIND Snacks!

August 11, 2010 by Deal Seeking Mom

Join me every day this week for Back-to-School Giveaways. I’ll be posting 5-day giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

As I’ve mentioned before, KIND Snacks have quickly become one of my favorite healthy snacks, and they’re especially great when I’m looking for a nutritious snack while I’m on the go.  The makers of KIND believe that food should never be processed to the point that you can no longer tell what it is, and all of their bars are made from wholesome all-natural ingredients you can see and pronounce.  With whole nuts and fruit held together with honey through a natural process that keeps them fresh, KIND snacks are packed full of flavor and have just the right amount of crunch!

KIND is a sponsor of the annual Great Kindness Challenge on August 14.

The Great Kindness Challenge is one day devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. This year’s goal is to have over one million children participate with the hope that this day will inspire a lifelong commitment to service and kindness.

From sunup to sundown, children around the world will accomplish simple, kind deeds using The Great Kindness Challenge Checklist from Kids for Peace. Visit The Great Kindness Challenge for more information and to sign up to participate!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win $100 in KIND Snacks!

I gave a couch to a friend who lost her’s due to a mold issue, I gave a ton of baby stuff to a friend who just had a baby, and I took my friend’s 3 children for a week so that they could get some relief because her husband was injured on the job and feeding 3 kids is expensive! I try and do kind acts for people on a daily basis. What goes around comes around!

My most recent noteworthy act of kindness was helping advocate for a friend who was in a nursing home. Her care was less than steller and I helped get it much improved and got the quality of her life improved. I got my children involved in this too. It was a great learing experience for them.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
