Join me every day this week for Back-to-School Giveaways. I’ll be posting 5-day giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!
As I’ve mentioned before, KIND Snacks have quickly become one of my favorite healthy snacks, and they’re especially great when I’m looking for a nutritious snack while I’m on the go. The makers of KIND believe that food should never be processed to the point that you can no longer tell what it is, and all of their bars are made from wholesome all-natural ingredients you can see and pronounce. With whole nuts and fruit held together with honey through a natural process that keeps them fresh, KIND snacks are packed full of flavor and have just the right amount of crunch!
KIND is a sponsor of the annual Great Kindness Challenge on August 14.
The Great Kindness Challenge is one day devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. This year’s goal is to have over one million children participate with the hope that this day will inspire a lifelong commitment to service and kindness.
From sunup to sundown, children around the world will accomplish simple, kind deeds using The Great Kindness Challenge Checklist from Kids for Peace. Visit The Great Kindness Challenge for more information and to sign up to participate!

I recently paid for the $6 a mom with a newborn needed to pay for all of her groceries. This was done for me years ago during a particularly difficult time in my life and I never forgot the gesture. It felt great returning the favor!!

show that we are not judged by the mistakes we make, but by how we correct those mistakes, that is human kindness

On Saturday, August 14th we as a family will be volunteering as a family for a local event honoring cancer patients/survivors.
Also I believe it to be incredibly important to teach our children by example. When you show kindness to others on a routine basis your children will react the same with out even thinking of it.
