Back-to-School Giveaway: $100 in KIND Snacks!

August 11, 2010 by Deal Seeking Mom

Join me every day this week for Back-to-School Giveaways. I’ll be posting 5-day giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

As I’ve mentioned before, KIND Snacks have quickly become one of my favorite healthy snacks, and they’re especially great when I’m looking for a nutritious snack while I’m on the go.  The makers of KIND believe that food should never be processed to the point that you can no longer tell what it is, and all of their bars are made from wholesome all-natural ingredients you can see and pronounce.  With whole nuts and fruit held together with honey through a natural process that keeps them fresh, KIND snacks are packed full of flavor and have just the right amount of crunch!

KIND is a sponsor of the annual Great Kindness Challenge on August 14.

The Great Kindness Challenge is one day devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. This year’s goal is to have over one million children participate with the hope that this day will inspire a lifelong commitment to service and kindness.

From sunup to sundown, children around the world will accomplish simple, kind deeds using The Great Kindness Challenge Checklist from Kids for Peace. Visit The Great Kindness Challenge for more information and to sign up to participate!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win $100 in KIND Snacks!

To enter, tell me about a recent act of kindness or what your family will be doing for The Great Kindness Challenge!

I saw a woman at the store eyeballing certain cereals but she didn’t get any so I asked her if she likes those brands and if she would like some coupons for them I had. I handed over like 15 coupons, hopefully she will share them also.

There was a tragic auto accident in our small town (population 2000) a few nights ago. A family of one of the survivors had to travel 450 miles to be near their daughter who is in the hospital in critical condition. This family is in dire financial straits along with this recent tragedy. One of our local citizens has taken it upon themselves to walk into every business in town asking for donations of $5 to help pay for the motel room and basic supplies to get this family through this trama. Our town has come together with far more than $5 per buisness and is pulling together to help not only this one family but all the families that were involved in the horrific crash. Ive never been prouder of my neighbors!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
