I’m a reasonably intelligent person. I clicked the link – nothing. I searched Amazon – nothing. I put the Kindle displayed on the link in my cart and got all the way to the click here to authorize payment screen – nothing. I searched and searched on the Black Friday, specific time ads – nothing.
So where is the $89 Kindle? Best I found was $139. The linked one is $189!

It shows that it should be open at 9am PST, but the countdown clock says there is still 2+ hours until the deal opens. Not sure what’s going on…

I go to Amazon .. click on Black Friday Deals.. then change the Catagory dropdown to “Kindle Store” and the 2nd Generation Kindle Deal comes up,,, but now says “Join Waitlist” because everyone quickly added it to their cart at 12est

I went on at exactly 12:00 the minute the deal started. Hit “add to cart”. Nothing. I tried on a different browser then, just got some “add to wait list” and nothing happened there either. Then went to Internet Explorer and there got the “add to wait list” and got nowhere there either. Checked my cart, nothing there. After 15 minutes of clicking and clicking on add to wait list and checking my cart I finally called amazon. After they checked with manager they said they absolutely could not give me the $100 credit (I had already ordered the kindle this morning, for $189, before I heard about this deal). So I don’t understand, at all, what happened – – -sigh.
