I noticed there is no mention of the $10 mail-in rebate that is suppose to be on the Bayer Blood Glucose Meter. Is this because you can’t get the rebate if you use a coupon to get it for free to start with?

Since, I don’t have a coupon I wanted to make sure I should still be able to get the rebate. Or am I totally misunderstanding the ad?

That’s right, Amanda. You can’t use both the coupon and the rebate.

Can you get more than one of the same RR producing product in the same transaction and still get all the RR’s? The Ecotrin is $2, I have 5 of the $2 off q’s – can I get all 5 in one shot, and get $10 back in RR’s? Or will it only give me $2 (for the first one)? Thanks so much.

BEWARE!! Walgreens corporate is starting to get very difficult for bargain shoppers. I went to a Walgreens in Indianapolis today with 2 $2.25/1 Ecotrin coupons. They would not adjust them down to $2 in order to use them on the 45-ct Ecotrin in this week’s ad. On further discussion with the manager I found that Walgreens is instructing their stores to not adjust any coupons and to not accept more than 1 register reward per order (no matter how many items). This is blantly contrary to the fine print on their own registar rewards that says that we can use up to 1 RR or other manufacturer’s coupon per item. The manager said this change is due to people “taking advantage” for the RR program and that any complaints would have to be directed to Walgreens headquarters. This is ridiculous since Walgreens gets all their money (plus 8 cents usually) back from manufacturer’s coupons and registar rewards (which are really just manufacturer’s coupons). If we are following their rules and they are changing things in the middle, I think a coordinated complaint campaign and possibly a boycott may be in order. Anyone else running into this type of resistance?

Has anyone successfully purchased the Ecotrin using the $2/1 coupon and gotten the RRs to print out? I’m just curious to see if this will work, since the RRs rules state that RRs work like Manufacturer coupons and won’t print when you use the same RR reward to purchase the same deal… just curious to see if a Manufacturer coupon that frees out the item would also prevent the RRs from printing.

I’ve done the Ecotrin and the Bayer with coupons today and both RR’s printed just fine, no problems with either, just some eye rolls from the cashier at my $0 OOP and $12 RR back!

Cheri, you can only do one of a specific RR deal per transaction. If you purchased all of the Ecotrins in a single purchase, you’d only earn RRs for one.

Thanks guys! I did the Ecotrin yesterday with the $2/1 coupon and it printed off the RRs just fine. Hooray! I also discovered that Walgreen’s has Samy Esencia shampoo and conditioner on sale B1G1 50% off. Combine this with the Try Me Free Mail-in-Rebate and the $1/1 coupon (use 2) and you can get both for $2.

Walgreens diapers were 5.99 at least in my area (MS). By combining with the $2 off coupon from the Walgreens pharmacy booklet ( store coupon so it does not count toward manufacturer’s coupon total for transactions), I got 7 packs for 3.99 each and was able to use up some of my previously earned register rewards! The coupons state that the discount is taken off the regular price, but I have always used them when the diapers are on sale. YMMV.

FYI: There are $2/1 Ecotrin coupons printed inside the Ecotrin cartons; however, if you read the fine print, these are for the 60-ct Ecotrin and not the 45-ct Ecotrin that is currently on sale. I smell a promotion in the future! For now, it’s up to the cashier to enforce the correct product… in my experience, most cashiers just push the coupon through when it beeps instead of reading the fine print.

Honeybunch…The Register Rewards program should only require purchase of 1 Kerasal 30gm ointment. It also is limited to one per customer. Not sure what the store would tell you that.
