Usually the weekend after a holiday weekend has some stellar coupons. However, I feel the last really good set of coupon inserts was the week after Easter. I think there were 3-4 inserts that week! These are just the same-old players. Maybe after 4th of July they’ll put out some great ones!

This is my first year of couponing … is there usually a slump in the summer months? Seems there aren’t as many good printables, or good inserts as there was this spring … do you think the Extreme Couponing Show has anything to do with this?

And Holidays sometimes don’t have coupons in the papers.

I agree, not much clipping for me to do, though I’ll stock up on the Miracle Whip/Mayo coupon, as the grocery stores will release it for sale for $2.00, which means I only pay $1.25. Worth getting 6 bottles or so, maybe more, since this is a staple in our house.

It’s good to know I won’t have to spend Father’s Day clipping coupons, and I can spend it with my husband and girls.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
