Consumer Recalls: Grape Tomatoes + More

There have been several consumer recalls over the past couple of days that may affect Deal Seeking Mom readers. Please refer to the links included in each section for more details about the specific recalls:

Grape Tomatoes

Mastronardi Produce of Kingsville, Ontario is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of grape tomatoes because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. For a detailed list of Brand & Product, Size, UPC, Lot # and state where sold, go here. The Lot number is on the side of the UPC in vertical position.

Consumers who have purchased from a specific lot of grape tomatoes mentioned above are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Mastronardi Produce at 734-943-0276, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Other Recall

  • Pig Ears for Pet Treats

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Thanks very much for keeping us in the know, Tara!! Like Lisap said, it’s sometimes hard to keep tabs on recalls, but you make that info so accessible.

Again, thank you for genuinely caring about your readers!

My tomatoes were not on the list, but the UPC code was only 2 numbers different than the ones recalled, and I am in Michigan and it stated that MI. was one of the states these were recalled from. My 4 year old has had really bad diarrehea since eating these tomatoes. I can almost bet these ones should have also been recalled.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
