There were many complaints this year that Rite Aid was calculating the totals for the Gift of Savings Event using the prices after all coupons, discounts, and +UP Rewards were deducted. So, for many of us, our totals were pennies on the dollar. Well, Rite Aid has listened, and they have changed the way they are calculating the totals:
“We heard your feedback and we’ve changed our Gift of Savings coupon policy. To best reward you for shopping at Rite Aid, manufacturer coupons will not be subtracted from your total spend amount. Check your accounts within the next 48 hours to see your recalculated balance. We understand you have a choice of pharmacies and thank you for your continued support of Rite Aid.”
So, be sure to continue to enter your receipts through 12/25 to earn a Rite Aid gift certificate.
What is the Gift of Savings Event?
When you shop at Rite Aid between now and 12/25, you can earn up to a $20 Rite Aid gift certificate.
- Spend $25-$50 – Get $5 back
- Spend $51-$100 – Get $10 back
- Spend $100 or more – Get $20 back
To get your gift certificate, simply enter all your receipts online (like you do for the monthly SCRs) or mail in the rebate form.

Great, because of the switch i just qualified for the $20 certificate. It says i’ll be able to print it from the email they will send me in the next 48 hours, so i dont evn have to wait for it to be mailed like last years, awesome!!!

Will they deduce the UPs though? Just wondering as I have $15 in ups to spend this weekend so will get to at least the $25. I have $10 so far but want the whole $20!

I got my 20 yippie!! But I do have some bad news and I am wondering if any one else has had this problem. This week we had the spend 30 on any Garnier products and get 10 back. Well I spent 35.00 used coupons and the Up rewards did not print. They manager told me its becaues with all the coupons and up rewards it was less then 30 and it will not print. umm When did that change ???

All the drug stores, the Ride Aid provides the best program. Walgreens is the worse. Walgreens give the print out money much shorter expiration date in comparison with Rite Aid or CVS. You have to look for a lot of filler if you are a heavy coupons user . You may end up purchase stuffs that are useless to you. In addition, you only have short peroid of time to use the cash back money. I love Rite Aid’s single check rebate. Los Angeles Times and KTLA News TV station both all talk about CVS ECB print out is very easy to get lost. Also, you may forget to use it. Both cause you to loose your hard earned money. Walgreen’s cash back print out even has much shorter expiration date in comparison with CVS. I hope that Rite Aid will go back to single check rebate only. You will be able to cash your check and get a warm meal, to help other needed or pay for your gas bill in this cold winter season.
