Walmart Deals New 12/30/08

December 30, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski 13 Comments

Wal-Mart.com USA, LLC

Here are the newest deals to be found at Walmart! For the full list of current deals check out the Walmart Deals page. I just did a major clean up and removed all the expired deals I found. If you find anything else, please let me know!

Keep in mind that Walmart’s prices vary by region, even by store within the same area, but generally they are reasonably close to the listed prices. Also, be aware that at times the coupons themselves may vary by region.

You may find it helpful to print out and carry a copy of the Walmart corporate coupon policy with you.

Have you found any stellar bargains at Walmart lately? Please feel free to email me so I can share them (while giving you credit, of course)! Along the same lines, if you find a deal is no longer valid because the coupon has expired or reached its print limit, it’s very helpful if you let me know so I can keep it current. Thanks for your help!

I tried to use the $5.00 Air Wick coupon on the candle marked down to $4.97. The cashier would not let me use it. I called the Walmart 800 number and was told that coupons cannot be used if they are more than the item and that this was store policy.

I had the same experience at Walmart with the Tide Coupons. They wouldnt let me use them. I called the 1 800 number and they said, that its up to the store managers to decide how to handle it, and that Walmart itself doesnt have a regulation regarding this…:-(((((

I used the $5.00 Air Wick coupon yesterday for the $4.97 product. The coupon beeped but the cashier just pushed it through without any problem.

I used the Air Wick coupon the other day. I purchased 3 with no problem. I did purchase other unrelated things so maybe that is why they didn’t say anthing to me.

I’m not sure what the official Walmart policy is, but I’ve never had a problem using coupons that are more than the price of an item anywhere. If the cashier doesn’t know what to do, I just let them know that they should adjust it down to the price of the item. But Walmart usually allows overage, so it seems strange that your cashier rejected it. Did you purchase other items in the same transaction?

I was able to use the Airwick $5 coupon with no problem, but couldn’t find the Gillette items mentioned or the Tide trial size. :( The coupons don’t expire until the end of January, though, so I’ll keep an eye out for those items!

I learned that my store had the gift sets in back you had to ask for them. Also my store hasn’t marked those down yet…

I was at WalMart 2 days ago and had the same experience with several coupons that would have allowed an overage of a few pennies. The cashier, already upset by the fact I brought my own bags, argued with me about coupons for the Eskimo Pies. I politely asked the supervisor to key the amount of the coupon to match the price of the item but she refused. The cashier then went back thru every coupon and matched with every item in my cart to make sure there weren’t any overages. I was furious. Had I not had everything packed up in my own bags I would have asked for the return of my coupons and left the cart full of groceries and whatnot sitting! I have contacted WalMart about the horrible customer service I received but have yet to hear back from them.

Today I went to Walmart and this is the second time that I have not been able to use internet coupons- the cashier said they were told last week not to accept them. I only had one with me so I did not protest. I did not have time to wait in the line at customer service. Is this becoming the new policy or should I ask to speak to a manager with copy of policy in hand next time?

In the DFW Texas area, Walmart will take printables (yay!) as long as they scan (so blurred ones might not work). However, my boyfriend is an ICM manager (loading area) and has told me that despite the policy, each front end manager can “use their descretion” when it comes to those coupons. Therefore, the policy may be ignored from store to store or even manager to manager if they choose to do so. So you may be able to find a willing manager somewhere in the store and use coupons when they are working. I know this stinks but what can you do when the policy is open to personal whims? Good luck!

I work at a Walmart in UT. The Christmas decorations and gifts went to 75% off today. The candy will go to 75% off on Monday. I’m pretty sure this is nationwide because they follow orders through their own internet wire. Thanks for this webpage.
