Here’s a fun deal on school supplies available at Staples this week.  There is a $5 off your $30 Staples purchase printable coupon available – which when combined with some of the Staples Easy Rebate offers and other great back to school deals – makes for $32 worth of school supplies for FREE!   If you have Staples Rewards available to combine with this then your out of pocket will be even less!  Here’s the scenario:

(Buy 1) HP Everyday Photo Paper, $9.99 ea.
(Buy 2) Staples Multipurpose Paper, $6.99 ea.
(Buy 1) Zebra Mechanical Pencils, $4 ea.
(Buy 1) Pentel RSVP Pens, $4 ea.
(Buy 2) Staples Pink Cap Erasers, $0.01 ea.
(Buy 2) Staples Index Cards, $0.01 ea.
Get $8.99 Staples Easy Rebate for HP Everyday Photo Paper
Get $5.99 Staples Easy Rebate for Staples Multipurpose Paper
Get $4 Staples Easy Rebate for Zebra Mechanical Pencils
Get $4 Staples Easy Rebate for Pentel RSVP Pens
$5/$30 Staples printable coupon
FREE after rebates and coupon!

For all of the above you’ll pay $27.01 OOP after coupon (and get $28.97 in Staples Easy Rebates, making this scenario a +$1.96 Money Maker!). You have to hold on to your receipt – you can submit your rebate requests online where you can choose to have a Staples prepaid card or rebate check mailed to you.  You can also mail your rebate submission too.

I’m wondering why the erasers and index cards are in there?? Isn’t it still $30 without it??
