I love kitchen gadgets of all kinds, so I was excited to try out the Shenzhen Ceramic Knives after reading about the many benefits that ceramic knives offer over traditional steel knives:

  • Ceramic knives stay sharper longer. They’re harder than steel and will hold their edge longer.
  • They will not rust and and are easy to clean.
  • Ceramic knives won’t affect the taste of food or cause it to turn brown.
  • They’re lightweight, making them easy and comfortable to use.

So what’s my verdict? They certainly are every bit as sharp as their website says. My finger can attest to that, LOL. The only drawback I can see? Because ceramic knives are very delicate, they can’t be used for more aggressive chopping and deboning, so you will still need to have several steel knives on hand for these tasks.

The good news is that Shenzhen Ceramic Knives are a fantastic price for the quality compared to many other highly recommended ceramic knives. So if you’re looking for a good set of ceramic knives at a bargain price, this set fits the bill!

    unfortunately, I don’t have them sharpened because I don’t know where to get this done. Therefore, I could really use these knives to replace all of my dull blades!

    I just realized… I’ve never sharpened my knives! But in my defense I’ve never had a a nice set, just the dinky cheapo’s. I would LOVVVVVE to win these!

    I’ve NEVER sharpened our knives because we’ve never had a good set enough, just cheap ones that didn’t work well even when they were sharp! Hope to win these!

    I have knives that have never been sharpened that I have had for 15 years. I also have some handmade knives that we sharpen everytime they are used! These would be a great Christmas gift for my daughter!!

    My husband used to sharpen my knives, now my teen-age daughter does it when she thinks they need it. I have to say, she does a good job.

    I’ve never heard of ceramic knives! I generally sharpen my own knives with a steel…..NOT that I feel I’m very good at it though. I’d love to try these out!

    I have only had my set for about a year, and though they probably should be sharpened, I haven’t done it yet. They’re still sharper than I’m used to with previous sets, so I haven’t felt the need to do it yet. lol.

    I don’t sharpen my knives, my husband does when he is carving meat which is around 4 times a year. Were looking into replacing our knife set, maybe I’ll work on sharpening my knives in the mean time.
