I’m excited to offer another fun 12 Days of Christmas series at Deal Seeking Mom. Each day through 12/7, I’ll post a new 3-day giveaway! Browse all of the giveaways here.

I love kitchen gadgets of all kinds, so I was excited to try out the Shenzhen Ceramic Knives after reading about the many benefits that ceramic knives offer over traditional steel knives:
- Ceramic knives stay sharper longer. They’re harder than steel and will hold their edge longer.
- They will not rust and and are easy to clean.
- Ceramic knives won’t affect the taste of food or cause it to turn brown.
- They’re lightweight, making them easy and comfortable to use.
So what’s my verdict? They certainly are every bit as sharp as their website says. My finger can attest to that, LOL. The only drawback I can see? Because ceramic knives are very delicate, they can’t be used for more aggressive chopping and deboning, so you will still need to have several steel knives on hand for these tasks.
The good news is that Shenzhen Ceramic Knives are a fantastic price for the quality compared to many other highly recommended ceramic knives. So if you’re looking for a good set of ceramic knives at a bargain price, this set fits the bill!

Four Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a 3-piece Shenzhen knife set (chef’s knife, slicing knife and paring knife) and peeler.
To enter, tell me how often you sharpen your knives. Do you just buy them and that’s it, or do you bring them in to get sharpened on a yearly basis?

If it’s a knife that my husband uses, then it’s sharpened as needed. He does it. If it’s one of my “kitchen knives”, then it never gets sharpened. I never think about it.

I keep one of those knife sharpeners that look like a jousting thingy in my silverware drawer. I just sharpen them whenever they don’t seem to be cutting right, maybe every two weeks for each knife.

I have a Kitchen Aid set & a sharpener I got at Kohl’s I think & I try to sharpen them once every 2-3 months…just depends on how dull they get. I don’t do the whole set every time. Unfortunately I can’t get the knife I use most sharp enough any more ):

I sharpen my knives once every two years. I know I should do it more often but just end up forgetting and it always seems to take me another year to get around to doing it. :)
