12 Days of Christmas: Melissa & Doug Train Frenzy Pack from Gummy Lump!

November 27, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

I’m excited to offer another fun 12 Days of Christmas series at Deal Seeking Mom. Each day through 12/7, I’ll post a new 3-day giveaway! Browse all of the giveaways here.

The following review is from the Deal Seeking Mom Project Administrator, Mandi Ehman:

Whenever we run out of gift ideas for our four girls to offer the grandparents, my default answer is pretty much “books or something Melissa & Doug”.

Gummy Lump recently sent us a Melissa & Doug Train Frenzy pack to review, including the Train Table, Wooden Railway Train Set, Train Engineer Role Play Costume and Wooden Train Cars Set.

When they arrived, my husband and I quickly unpacked the boxes to see for ourselves (the big reveal for the girls will have to wait until Christmas morning!). What I love most is that the sturdy train table offers a place for all four girls to play together, and it can be used not only for the classic wooden train set but also for their doll house, building blocks or as a table for their arts & crafts.

The train set itself offers a ton of possible configurations and is sure to keep them busy for hours, and I have a feeling our 3-year-old will spend most of Christmas Day dressed up as a train engineer!

Gummy Lump offers a wide variety of Melissa & Doug toys as well as toys by Haba and Automoblox, just to name a few. Be sure to check out their Black Friday Weekend specials for 20% off all Melissa & Doug toys, free shipping over $50 and more!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Train Frenzy Prize Pack from Gummy Lump, including:

  • Melissa & Doug Train Table
  • Melissa & Doug Wooden Railway Train Set
  • Melissa & Doug Train Engineer Role Play Costume
  • Melissa & Doug Wooden Train Cars Set

Our son loves his wooden blocks. He likes to build with them…and knock them down. :) The best part is he enjoys spelling and learning to read with them.

My son loves his abacus and my daughter’s favorite is her baby station (with high chair, bath and bed all in one). They both love the train train set but it is definitely lacking many pieces.

My 2 yr. son was in the basement at my Moms house when his eyes lit up with a set of Lincoln Logs he spotted that must be at least 40 years old!! Grandma let us take them home to Texas, she has since passed away, and my little boy now calls them “Grammy Logs”.

I LOVE Melissa and Doug and suggest it to others in the same way. My kids have a small train set – (not Melissa and Doug.) They would love a table for it so they don’t have to put it away very time it is bed time. ;)

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
