I’m excited to offer another fun 12 Days of Christmas series at Deal Seeking Mom. Each day through 12/7, I’ll post a new 3-day giveaway! Browse all of the giveaways here.
Our family is big on grilling out, so it’s always disappointing when the cold weather forces us to pack away our grill until warmer weather returns. But this year we expect to enjoy delicious grilled foods indoors all winter long thanks to our new Breville Smart Grill!
We’ve used other contact grills in the past, but they’ve always fallen somewhat short of our expectations. The plates weren’t easy to clean. The grills weren’t large enough to cook enough food for our family at one time. And they were all limited to use as a clamshell-type grill. But the Breville Smart Grill met and/or exceeded our expectations in every area:
- The Smart Grill opens flat into a 260 square inch BBQ surface. I love this because I can cook bacon or sausage on one wide, while making pancakes on the other easily.
- Whether you use it closed or in BBQ mode, all of the excess fat and oils drain into one central drip tray that’s easy to empty.
- The grill plates on the Smart Grill are removable for easy cleaning. And even better — they’re dishwasher safe. Yay!
The Breville Smart Grill offers the latest in grilling technology with their Element IQ feature. Element IQ compensates for the drop in grill temperature when you place cold foods on the surface by injecting heat into the plates for rapid recovery back to the selected cooking temperature. This allows you to get those great sear marks that make for flavorful grilled meats.

I’d use the Breville Smart Grill to grill chicken. In the summer, we grill large batches on our outdoor grill, and then individually wrap and freeze them to defrost later for quick dinners like Caesar salad with chicken. The Breville Smart Grill would allow us to do this in the winter as well!

Oh wow!!! This looks awesome! I’d love to grill fish… it doesn’t always work well on the gas grill outside. It looks like it would be perfect on the Breville Smart Grill.
