Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!

Have you ever wondered if you remembered to close the garage door? Or have you ever worried about the safety of your garage door? If so, then the Genie SilentMax 1000 garage door opener and its many new safety features will offer you peace of mind.
Not only does the SilentMax 1000 provide intelligent design for the homeowner that wants quiet performance with superior design and conveniences, it also offers some pretty amazing safety features like a comprehensive Safe-T-Beam system that meets or exceeds CSA regulations, an auto reversing system that prevents it from closing if something is in the way, and a superior encryption system that automatically changes the access code every time you use it to prevent unauthorized persons from opening your garage door.
The Genie SilentMax 1000 is so simple to install that my husband was able to put it up without assistance in about an hour. I have to say it definitely lives up to its name -- it's the quietest garage door opener I've ever heard (or not heard in this case). I was in the house and had no idea he was already testing it out!

I love the keypad entry system because it means I don't have to carry bulky keys with me when I go for a walk or to the park, and it's also great for those rare occasions when the kids beat me home from school. They just punch in our PIN number, and can let themselves into the house.

One of my favorite features is the optional Network Adapter. It's easy to get distracted when pulling out of the driveway with a carload of kids, so this handy little feature tells me at a glance whether or not I've remembered to shut the garage door. The Network Adapter remote will beep and flash green when closed properly or give a warning tone and flash read when not closed properly.
Today, one lucky Deal Seeking Mom winner will win a Genie Silent Max 1000 Garage Door Opener prize pack that includes:
- One SilentMax 1000 Garage Door Opener
- Closed Confirm 3-button Remote and Network Adapter Combo

My biggest safety concern with the garage door is that one day it will fall on my car! Our garage door opener is almost 20 years old, we still use this ancient opener remote that rarely works. I'd love a garage door opener that has a keypad I can use, then I never have to worry about getting locked out!
Driving away with the garage door left open!

My biggest concern with a garage door opener is that we don't have one! It has been on the list since we bought the house last year. It would be really nice to get this taken care, to be able to have a working garage door would be a dream for the winter and rainy months.

Having it shut on someone or not opening when the power is out are my biggest concerns.

One of the biggest concerns I have is getting in and out of the garage with our daughter, who is wheelchair bound. We must have a door that opens and closes properly for her safety!!
just courious how this one last, they all look nice, called service 2 times and brother fixed once less than a year.
That it would not work properly and shut on one of my kids.
Ours just broke so it doesn't stop once in motion, which obviously concerns me when the kids and pets are around....this one looks incredible!

My biggest fear is that my garage door is so, so, old.
Oh my! this would be wonderful to have ! My big concern is out garage door now is not safe at all! If there is something in the way it just continues to try and close... crushing the door or whatever is in the way. I am afraid one time it will be something like my child!

My biggest concern is leaving it open when I leave the house! There has been many times myself or my husband has done this, to come home and see it wide open fearing we have been robbed! The exterior keypad is a great idea also for our daughter who has now begun driving!
biggest fear as I have done it with the one we have (not electric) is to get fingers smashed while pulling up...like a folded accordian...it hurt for years...yikes

Always afraid it will come down on my little boy.
My biggest concern is worrying that I forgot to shut the garage door or if it truly went down all the way as I drive out of the neighborhood...I have often gone back home to check for peace of mind.
