When I was growing up (small town) the movie theater had a special matinee for children on Thanksgiving so families could visit & cook the big meal without children underfoot. The theater would be packed!

My biggest movie memory is the first time I went to the theater with my family when I was a kid. We saw Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I still love that movie!
