I don’t understand the Theraflu deal. What I work out is this:
3 X 3.99=11.97
– $2/2
– 3.99 MIR
– $5 RR
————————-
0.98
What am I doing wrong??
Deal Seeking Mom
Oops, I forgot to list the insert coupons that are available right now too. Sorry about that, Christie!

Thanks, Swap Savers! I forgot all about that one.

Will the Reynolds Oven Bags coupon really go through for the aluminum foil?
Thanks!
Deal Seeking Mom
I’m so glad I have readers with eagle eyes like you, Allison. I copied and pasted the wrong coupon somehow. Sorry about that, and thanks for pointing it out!
I see that it does say it’s valid on any except for the 25 sq.ft. foil, so some stores may not accept it. As always, it’s worth a try. Nothing ventured, nothing saved!
Christie
Just so you know, the Theraflu DOES NOT produce register rewards! The ad is confusing, but apparently, the $5 RR are only for the Robitussin products. Sorry!
Kim
I went to Walgreens to get the Reynolds Wrap. They told me they couldn’t take the coupon because it was for more than what the product cost. They said if they took it and got the money back from the company it would constitute coupon fraud because they made a penny off of it. Anyone else have any experiences like this?
Allison
I used the aluminum foil coupon (actually, 2!) and the scotch tape today and didn’t have that problem. I do this kind of thing regularly (thanks to the great tips from this and other Walgreen’s friendly blogs) and I’ve never been stopped or had the value discussed with me. Actually, I’ve had one employee tell me what a good deal it was. That’s a bummer that happened to you, Kim.
Christie
Kim, I get overage ALL THE TIME at WAGS and CVS. But, one time, I did have a manager at my Wags tell me the same. When she used that “fraud” word it made me feel like she thought I was trying to do something wrong. She decreased the value of my coupons to make them free with no overage as well. But, it’s the only time I’ve ever had it happen. I just know never to let her ring me up again! Today I bought 4 of the foils and 2 of the scotch tapes at that same wags!
Deal Seeking Mom
Thanks for the heads up, Christie. I’ll go cross that one off the list.
Sorry they wouldn’t take your coupon, Kim. Most stores will accept them. It’s only fradulent if the coupon excludes a certain size. There’s no wording about the price of an item. Maybe you can try again at another store, or even a different cashier may net you different results.

Actually this deal does not include a ESR (rebate). It’s free after using the $4 ALL YOU coupon and the $3 coupon from the Dec Easy Saver book. So it’s free right at the store, not after rebate, in case that makes a difference to anyone. Either way, a great deal!
Deal Seeking Mom
Thanks so much for letting me know! I don’t always have time to check the deals that I find on forums against the ad, so I appreciate it.
Kim
I called Walgreens today to talk to the manager. He apologized and said the cashier must be new. He told me to come in and if they were sold out he would adjust the price when it came back in stock and let me use the coupon. Thanks for the responses. It gets so confusing sometimes to know if I am following the rules when the cashiers at stores don’t even know them.
