Check out a cool new site and you could be the lucky winner of a 16GB iPod Touch (ARV $299)!
Xtraxtra.com is your digital resource for news and milestones in your hometown and community. Just like your local newspaper, xtra xtra features the following milestones from locations across the U.S.:
birth, adoption, death, wedding, engagement, anniversary, birthday, academic, athletic, military, professional announcements, events, and photos.
But what sets the site apart is that all features are fully searchable making it easy to find the specific information you're seeking! Registration isn't necessary to use the site, but you get some great additional features when you register like the ability to send ecards and upload an unlimited number of milestones to keep your family and friends informed about your announcements.
You can even add an RSS feed for your location to your feed reader to stay on top of new milestones with ease!
Xtraxtra.com would love it if you'd give their site a little test drive. In exchange, you can earn entries for a chance to win a 16GB iPod Touch. What a fantastic way to put all that free music we've been finding lately to good use!

With my zipcode it gave a nearby (bigger) town which is ok. Depressing though, because the first thing that pulled up was obits :(
I am a subscriber! Fabulous giveaway!
I'm sure this site could be very useful once the word gets spread about it. However, there was nothing listed for my city.

I enjoyed the website. It was easy to navigate. I loved the find a classmate feature. The website is a great way to keep up with what's happening.
I don't care for the colors of blue and yellow on home page but thats just me, I dont like the color yellow much. The milestone was good and I liked most categories under milestone but I typed in my hometown zip where I was raised and it brought up nothing but maybe understandable since its a town of only 400-500 people.

It says there is hometown news. But it is really just announcements. Would love to see some real local news for Jacksonville, Florida.
I browsed the site, and it seems nice. Its light, and opens quickly, not too much heavily loaded with media contents.
The word needs to be spread around, and the site willbe very useful for us, and for everyone.
I would also like to enter the contest..

Very nice website with plenty of great info. great prize as well!
nice site ty.
It was amazingly easy to navigate, which is good for me because I always have the worst trouble finding what I'm looking for on most websites!
I found it very easy to navigate the site and find listings. I would like to see more in events, clubs and hobbies, but hopefully that will improve as people learn about the site.
Auriette´s last blog post..It pays to shop around.
I registered for my work, username PLT for Pensacola Little Theatre.

I posted a milestone for PLT, one of our upcoming shows, and I'm going to e-mail myself the address and add a lot of events for the coming year.

Very easy site to navigate through. cool, thanks
I love how easy it is to use.
I don't really like the set up of the site. It wasn't obvious from the start what the site was about. It just kind of looked like a cheap life insurance website.
I actually thought they should have some kind of explanation as to what the site is all about and maybe a video tutorial as to what all it can do.
It was really easy to navigate and it looks really nice. There wasn't too much listed for my town, expect obits, but I think once more people go to it, it'll be really cool. I really love the idea of this site.

Nice website and informative.
I liked that there was not a lot of advertising.
It listed obituaries and military notices for my area, but nothing else. I would like to see the top local news stories.
I subscribe.
