I never thought I’d see an online deal that meets the criteria of the Toilet Paper Principle, but Amazon has come through once again. Get (12) 4-packs of Charmin Basic Big Rolls for just $19.23 shipped right to your door with Amazon Subscribe & Save!
This package is equal to buying 96 rolls or 1753 square feet, meaning you pay just slightly over $0.01 per sq. ft. Note that this is a one-ply TP, but it’s much thicker than other one-ply products. We purchase it often and have been very pleased with it.
Score this deal:
- Click on Save $0.25 with this coupon on the Charmin Basic Big Rolls page.
- Use the Subscribe Now button to add the number of shipments of TP you’d like to receive.
- Your final total will be $19.23, and you’ll receive FREE shipping with Amazon Prime!
Subscribe & Save will enroll you to receive regular shipments at $19.48, but you may cancel at any time. If you don’t want regular deliveries of the product, you can turn this off once your order has been placed by following these steps:
- Go to Your Account and click on Manage Subscribe & Save Items.
- Your current subscriptions will be listed at the top.
- Click on the Cancel Subscription button to stop any future orders.
- You’ll receive an email confirmation for each item you cancel.
Thanks, Passion For Savings!

Wow, what a deal! Thank you
soury
thanks so much for the heads up on this deal!! I just purchased it using subscribe and save for every 3 months, cheaper then walmart’s price!
Jennifer B
Looks like the price jumped to $22.92.
Tara Kuczykowski
That’s the price before the Subscribe & Save discount, Jennifer.
Jennifer
I’m really not trying to sound dumb, but I’m confused here… on your post that explains how much tp should cost, your example says:
TP #2 = 650 sq. ft.; price = $5; stock-up price $6.50, so definitely a bargain!
So, square feet + decimal point = price at $.01/sq. ft.
But this deal, you say it’s equal to 1753 square feet, so wouldn’t that be $17.53, not $19.23? So it’s not $.01, is it?
Really not trying to be a smart aleck— just trying to understand! I love the idea of this concept for figuring out price, but I’m not quite understanding yet!
Thanks!
Tara Kuczykowski
Oh, you’re right, Jennifer! I was trying to hurry and post it before my daily newsletter went out since Amazon pricing changes so frequently, so I copied and pasted Heather’s math. It is slightly over $0.01, so I’m guessing she just rounded down.
You definitely have the concept down in your comment. ;)

My bad! That is what happens when I read too fast!
Mel
Score! I was just telling a co-worker that one of my plans for my holiday vacation was to stock up on things like t.p. and shampoo and laundry soap. I had to call her and share a giggle over my t.p. deal. (Starting out the new year with several months’ worth of those kinds of items makes me feel so organized!)
nicole
Can I cancel my my subscription once I order th tp
Tara Kuczykowski
I would recommend waiting until your order ships. You don’t have to worry about them accidentally shipping you anything though. They always send a reminder email a week before your next shipment is scheduled giving you the option to skip it or cancel.
nicole
Ok thanks I just didnt know but this is a good deal and thank you for sharing it. =)
Linda
you say you get 96 rolls for that price? Am I reading wrong or does the amazon listing say it’s 12- 4 packs and wouldn’t that be 48 rolls?
Tara Kuczykowski
Yes, you get 48 double rolls, which is comparable to 96 single rolls. Sorry if I confused you!
Linda
oh sorry! I missed that!
Tina
Thanks Tara :)
Jennifer
48 double rolls = 96 regular rolls . : )
Jennifer
opps @ Linda . I forgot to hit reply .
sara
my husband just laughed at me for buying tp online. lol.
val-WI
does the S&S have an initial fee? i haven’t seen any info on that
lizzette
How do i add the coupon? Where do i find the coupon at?
Tara Kuczykowski
I had a little trouble with the coupon too, Lizzette. I added the TP with subscribe and save once but didn’t check out. When I went back to the page, the coupon showed up for me, so maybe try that. It will be above the related video.
pam
No fee for subscribe and save. I use it for my coffee and can cancel or delay anytime I want. I got some tp too. You can never have to much!
val-WI
thank you for the info
Jennifer
$1.60 a 4 pack? Hmmm…Is this really a good deal? I’m still stocked up on the Cottenelle from Kroger awhile back (5 or 6 months ago) that I think came out to be .60 a 4 pack…It’s just my Boyfriend and I so tp last awhile around here!
Joy
thank you. Its been awhile since I’ve gotten a good TP deal. I know I’ve gotten it lower, but that doesn’t mean it will go that low again anytime soon. Im getting 2 cases.. one for mom mom for CHRISTMAS… she’s always running out of TP! haha.
Tara Kuczykowski
I love that, Joy — the gift that keeps on giving!
Denise
I wonder how much the charmin with the red bear is? That is the only kind my husband wants :)
rebecca
I just looked and it is now $40 something. I guess I missed out! :(
Stephanie
I thought that, too, Rebecca, but when you put it in your cart, the price goes back down.
Amanda Y.
I find it cheaper per roll of Charmin basic at Walmart on a regular basis, so I’m confused as to why everyone thinks this is a good deal?
Joy
Its double roll. Maybe that’s the difference?
Janet
Wow! That is a great deal. Just a shame I can’t take advantage of it. Charmin IS NOT good for septic systems. I’ll have to wait on a grea deal on Scott TP.
Christy
I’m with Amanda, not sure why this is such a great deal. I usually buy packs with 12 double rolls, and with this deal it works out to be around $4.80 for 12 double rolls. I don’t consider that a HOT deal.
Tara Kuczykowski
Not every deal I post will be fantastic for everyone, but there are a few reasons why I personally consider this to be a hot deal:
1. It’s still at least $1 less than Walmart (and not everyone likes to shop there).
2. It’s shipped to my doorstep for free with the Amazon Prime trial.
3. Many readers redeem the Swagbucks they’ve earned for Amazon GCs, making this actually free TP for them.
4. Amazon does not charge sales tax for most states.
Devin
This is a great offer…unfortunately, it looks like I missed it! The price is over $40 now. Plus, there does not seem to be a coupon available–and the subscribe and save is not even coming up as an option for me! I guess it wasn’t meant to be…..bummer. Thanks anyway, Tara! I so appreciate what you do!
And, for the record–I am pretty picky about TP–but I bought this a couple of weeks ago, just to try, and have been very pleased with it. Definitely NOT your average one-ply!
Heather
Same here. Must have ended at midnight Eastern time.
jenny p.
Unfortunately it looks like the Subscribe & Save is no longer available. I found the $22.92 price that is sold by Amazon and ships for free with Prime, but the S&S button is not coming up. Bummer!
Heather
Figured out the $22.92 price is under “Other buying options” or something like that. Can’t get the S&S thing to come up though?

Hi. Is there a ‘paper towel principle’? I absolutely love the TP principle. How easy!!
Lisa
I would love to know if there is a paper towel principle too… ;) I love the TP one – just used it to double check a deal.. hope I did it right??
