Tune in all week for hot Back-To-School Giveaways. We’ve got some great prizes for the kids, with a couple of special prizes to pamper mom!!! Look for a new 48-hour giveaway each morning and each afternoon, and be sure to check out all of the current giveaways for other great prizes!
Today’s giveaway is especially for all the younger siblings who stand at the window longingly watching their big brothers and sisters head off to school!
Aren’t these fuzzy little guys just about the cutest thing ever? Smooshies are basically a fuzzy pillow with velcro arms, legs, features, hair, etc. that allow your child to express their creativity. You can find extra parts to increase the combinations at Michael’s and Joann Fabric’s.
I don’t know which of my kids was more enthralled with the Smooshie. My youngest just loves to snuggle and cuddle with it. But he’s also enjoying ripping off random body parts and waving them around with delight. Note: Smooshies are intended for kids ages 3 and older, but I let me little guy give it a whirl while closely supervised.
The older kids got a little creative and got a kick out of seeing what “kooky creation” they could come up with by putting body parts in unusual places. I didn’t anticipate my oldest showing much interest, but even he surprised me and decided to get in on the fun.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a complete Smooshies kit, ready to be snuggled and played with!
To enter, leave a comment and tell me about your favorite toy as a young child! Was it something soft and cuddly and sentimental or something that sparked hours of imaginative play?

Lego’s. My favorite and my children and grandchildren. We have a blast.

My favorite toy was not actually a toy, I have always had an obsession with markers and paper. Drawing takes me to my own special world where anything can happen. I was known to sit quietly drawing for hours with a big smile on my face without saying a word.

This is something on my wish list for my boys! They’re just too cute! My favorite thing(s) as a child? BOOKS!! In the summer you wouldn’t find me playing with the other kids, you’d find me in “my” tree, reading a book!

My favorite toy was a stuffed dog. His name is Archie, and I still have him!! I don’t know how old he is, but he has been with me as far back as I can remember…and I am 43! My 14 year old daughter also has a stuffed dog that she has had since she was 1…his name is Puppy, and he still goes everywhere with us. Amazing how much comfort some fake fur and a little stuffing can provide!

My favorite was a medium size, light brown teddy bear that I still have sitting on my dresser, although it is pretty matted and otherwise in poor shape! Don’t even remember if I had a name for him.

I actually was just sorting through some of my stuff that I have in storage and found a couple of my well-loved cloth dolls. Such good memories.

My favorite toy as a kid was this red plastic wheel with a yellow bear in the center. When you rolled the wheel, the bear went round and round. My Dad bought it for me on a trip to St. Louis and I loved that thing.

My favorite toy as a child would probably have been a pound puppy. I drug him everywhere. He was definately my “trusted companion”. My daughter just turned 1 so I haven’t given her one quite yet, but I’m sure she will love them as much as I did. She tortures the real one now and he can’t get enough! I think this toy is adorable and would be a great snuggie.

I still have my favorite one. He’s a stuffed animal that is a run-over cat. I don’t know why they made this to begin with, but he’s definitely my favorite.
