I don’t know about your commissary, but mine doesn’t double coupons at all. The Red Baron deal won’t work. The coupon policy for the commissary states that they do not double coupons.

You can’t Post commissary info on a public website. If you get caught you can lose you ID card privileges. Are you crazy? Not to mention all of us that are linked to this site who have an ID card can lose ours just for looking at it! Please take this info off!

Actually, Pat, I have an email from DeCA regarding this issue. Let me know if you’d like me to forward it to you. Basically it states that “they do not have any control of what is posted on social forums/sites.” Sorry that this offends you, but it is ok.

Per DeCA, we are not allowed to share prices via walk-thrus or from commissaries.com. Prices shared are from public online websites such as militaryshoppers.com, maxisavergroup.com, and brands.kraftfoods.com/kraftmilitary. Here is a copy of the email from DeCA (which I am more than happy to forward from my email to anyone who would like a copy) :o)

Thank you for the recent “Your Action Line” correspondence, dated May 18, 2011, regarding publication of DeCA deals and coupon information on commissary forums, blog, or other social media extracted from manufacturer web sites.
The Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction Number 1330.17, October 8, 2008, Armed Services Commissary Operations, prescribes policy, assigns responsibilities, and sets forth procedures for the operation of the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to include advertising of sales and savings to commissary patrons. The Defense Commissary Agency has no authority to change any of the laws or regulations that govern entitlements to the commissary privilege. The Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness has oversight and responsibility for DeCA.
DeCA has no control over manufacturer forums publishing commissary prices and as such no authority to tell commissary patrons how to handle pricing obtained outside the commissary or commissaries.com. Under current public law and DoD instructions, DoD Instruction 1330.17 does; however, prohibit the dissemination of commissary product prices obtained from commissaries.com. Product prices displayed on DeCA’s commissaries.com are provided solely for the benefit of commissary patrons and are not intended to leave this “virtual commissary.” Should an authorized commissary patron elect to share prices or price list with others not authorized to shop in the commissary, or share them with someone who intends to publish them in a manner inconsistent with DoD Instruction 1330.17, this may be considered to be an abuse of commissary privileges and may subject the patron to the penalties outlined in the Instruction.

Wow. Seriously Pat? I had no idea. Why would they not want the deals posted? It isn’t like it would apply to anyone except us Military folks. If I weren’t affiliated with the Military, I wouldn’t even look at it, just like I never click on the links for stores that aren’t local to me. I am not questioning the validity of what you have stated, but do you know what document states that & where? I would just like to know for my own personal info. Thanks!

I’m sorry, but that comment is ridiculous on so many levels… Commissary prices are now published online to the public, without the need to logon with a SSN at https://www.militaryshoppers.com/onsalethisweek/index.htm. I have seen other people cry wolf on other sites claiming that all our IDs will be taken away, yet they are all unable to provide documentation of such. Please, really? I have been a Naval Officer for 13 years, and I am about to start a money saving blog. If you think NCIS is coming to my house to take away my Military ID for posting what I bought at the commissary and with what coupons, you are the crazy one!! Who does this hurt?

You need to read the last paragraph
“Should an authorized commissary patron elect to share prices or price list with others not authorized to shop in the commissary, or share them with someone who intends to publish them in a manner inconsistent with DoD Instruction 1330.17, this may be considered to be an abuse of commissary privileges and may subject the patron to the penalties outlined in the Instruction. ” The reason for this is because not all commissaries require an ID to get in only upon checkout. Why would you want to give our cost savings to those who are not entitled to our military benefits. We are retired military and worked hard for those benefits. If they wanted the whole world to know about our savings then why would they confirm our identity with our ss# to get into our commissary website? This is definitely an abuse of privileges.

Pat, the prices shared are from PUBLIC websites, which anyone, military or not, may view.
Commissaries.com is NOT public, so therefore, we cannot share prices from that site.
