I believe this is a dead deal, the coupon is one time use only.

The guy at Staples told me that the computer wouldn’t accept the coupon. I agree with Zack, I think the coupon needs to be in your email box from Staples for it to be used. One time use only by recipient, probably.

It has no coupon code and ALL the staples coupons have that – either it’s been taken out or it’s a fraudulent coupon!

This coupon has been tampered with! Do not use it!!!! Harleigh is right. I received one in my inbox and it has a unique code attached to it.

Thanks for saving me a trip to Staples. I would have wasted my time. I also noted that it states coupon valid only with additional in-store purchase.

I wish I’d known this before going in today! I’m a teacher and always looking for a good deal on office supplies. I needed to pick up a few things anyway… but these would have been a nice bonus!

I wish I knew this wasn’t a true Staples coupon BEFORE I went there and looked like a fool. Why not check these out BEFORE you post them on your site and say something like “BEWARE, this coupon in NOT a real Staples coupon” ? The manager said this never came from Staples and that there is an investigation going on because there is a site that is copying Staples coupons without barcodes and that Staples is aware of it. Now I am too.

You should probably just be grateful that she posts these deals at all. There’s no way for her to know about every single coupon in circulation at every given time, so why be rude about it? It’s not necessary.

Yes, I too went to staples to use this coupon and take advantage of the extreme deals for $.01 that ends today. I went to two stores and one couldn’t figure out why they couldn’t scan it so they just used a different $5 off coupon for me. I went to another staples store and they actually phoned it in and found out that this was not a valid coupon. That A) the site it shows is not where they post coupons B) no 16 digit number over bar code and C) no coupon code. I only pulled this coupon from the usual couponing websites so I didn’t even bother looking at it closely to notice these things. BEWARE!!!

The coupon is hosted on the Staples website, so I’m not sure what the problem is with them accepting them. I’m very sorry that some of you have had issues with it though!

My store took it, but only after the manager overrode. But, to be honest, I used the pen tonight and I didn’t like it at all.

Went to use the coupon and they said they contacted corporate about them not scanning, they manually took off the price for the pens.

I tried to use the coupon last night, an employee in the store told me that it was not valid without a coupon code number above the bar code. I still got some good deals on computer paper, Post-Its and Sharpies from the dollar specials in this week’s ad, but disappointing that the person who originally posted this (not Tara) either used a fraudulent coupon or altered the coupon before posting.

This coupon is not valid. I was told by a Staples’ employee that someone hacked into their system and emailed those coupons to people. I didn’t argue with him even though the coupon has Staples URL address when you print it. I got other deals so my trip was still worth it.

Yep, Just came back from staples and it’s a no go. It doesn’t have a number code they can punch in and the scan bar is no good. UGH!

This is not from the Staples website, notice the website is https://re.e.staples.com, not http://www.staples.com.

It is a subdomain of the Staples website. Staples.com is still the main domain.

My mom and I used this coupon last week on 7/14/2011 and got the deal. What Staples did was take off an additional discount on the items we purchased. Which added up to the the $5.00 coupon. On the receipt you saw that you got a $5.00 savings.

I have already been using these for approximately weekly now, and I must say I like them. I generally prefer using ball points for sturdiness however the nylon points don’t fray and are very precise. I find my capacity to make lines and then to have the ability to go back but still work inside the lines evidently with small pens adds very much to the depth of an image without it getting muddy or lines getting mixing mutually getting “clumpy”. While art can be made with anything virtually…it’s awfully nice to possess good tools, and these pens are good tools that will put your lines where and exactly how you put them…even though you didn’t mean to place it there.
