I’m not sure what the recommended age is, Lori, but my 7 and 8-year-old boys are able to operate them on their own. My 6-year-old daughter also does reasonably well under supervision.

Don’t waste your time! I got one for my husband for Christmas and it broke in 2 min. I tried to call the company to exchange they never answered the phone it would just stay with hold music for up to 3 hours.
I called for 2 weeks straight and finally got someone on the line and they told me to go to the website and fill out a return form. I took 3 months and it never got resolved so I finally reported it to my credit card company to get a refund.
Bad company to do business with!
