CVS: Excedrin CRT Moneymaker

June 9, 2011 by Deal Seeking Mom 14 Comments

excedrin moneymaker

Many people are reporting receiving a $2/1 Excedrin PM or Extra Strength coupon when they scan their cards at the “magic coupon machine” this week. With no size restrictions, this coupon can be paired with this week’s ECB deal for a sweet moneymaker:

Excedrin Extra Strength, Migraine or PM (6 ct.), $0.99
Get $0.99 ECBs (Limit 2)
$2/1 Excedrin PM or Extra Strength CRT
$1.98 moneymaker wyb 2 after coupon and ECBs!

(Thanks, For the Mommas!)

    Hi Tara,

If the Excedrin is $.99 and you get $.99 ecb back, I know that’s free, but how does the coupon work with it? I mean CVS gives money back from the coupon?

I shop CVS a lot, but never had the money maker. lol

    Thanks!

You use the coupon when you’re paying, so you’ll need a filler to absorb the overage. They won’t actually give it to you as cash back like Walmart does. And then you’ll still get your ECBs!

Most of the time the coupons are adjusted at CVS. So in that case it would be a .99 moneymaker which is good.

In theory you could, but for this particular deal the machine is only going to generate one CRT per ExtraCare card, so I don’t think you’ll be able to get enough coupons. And the limit on the ECBs is two, so you’d only earn $1.98 in ECBs total.

I went in Tuesday and my CVS was already out. The cashier said, “yeah, we had like eight of them, but we sold them all Sunday.” Wow, eight whole boxes!! LOL! I wasn’t surprised, though, since the ad said, “while supplies last.”

I haven’t tried yet. But I have a feeling they will be gone before I get there tomorrow. The “while supplies last” might mean they won’t give rain checks. But it doesn’t hurt to ask. CVS is great with rain checks because they honor the full ECB deal on the rain check.

I got the coupon, but the store was out. They didn’t get many and couldn’t raincheck it.

I got this CRT Sunday and for the life of me, I couldn’t find the Excedrin PM 8ct anywhere.. is it in the regular pain relief aisle? maybe they were just out already..
