This does not work in all Walgreens. According to Walgreens newer cash registers, you need to give the cashier the Walgreens in ad coupon first and then the manufacturer coupons. If you use the manufacturer coupons first, it won’t work. Also, some Walgreens cashiers refuse to take more than one coupon per three scotch tapes so it comes out to 3/$1 instead of free.

i second this. i tried using 2 manufacturer’s coupons first but the cashier took a look at all my coupons and scanned the store coupon first. she said that they were instructed to scan store coupons before manufacturer’s coupons.

Would be GREAT if they actually HAD the items in the ads this week. So frustrating….apparently a truck came in last night and they still don’t have anything from the ad!!! geez

I tried this last time and they wouldn’t honor all my coupons. The manager said I could only use one of the manufacturers coupons. I still got a good deal though.

I handed my in ad coupon first, then 3 of the $1 off scotch coupons so I made a dollar to help pay the rest of my transaction. There is no limit on the scotch coupons as to how many you can use and I still on had one manu. Coupon per item. Worked great for me.

I have been having problems with my Walgreens. They tell me that they cannot take 3 tape coupons and the walgreens coupon because that is coupon fraud! I can’t use a coupon on a free item.

I pulled up the Walgreens coupon policy on my IPhone (and saved it as a icon) and now I show the cashier how it says you can use one man coupon and one store coupon on each BOGO item- sometimes I have to show the manager, but it works

I went to one in Columbus, OH and it was just fine. They stated you can have 1 coupon per item. So I used 2 Manufacture Coupons and the In-Store Coupon, so it was 3 for Free :)

Walgreens registers generally would not accept coupons discount exceeding the advertised item price. So you may have to buy something in addition to fill in the 1 cent discount from the coupon.

I did this yesterday and it worked fine. If you want to make it easier buy two different sizes of tapes ie. 1/2″ and 3/4″ (different barcodes) and a package of large envelopes so you have 3 different barcodes in total – then use two of the coupons on the tape. After the pain at the register and the moans and groans from the people behind you on line all will be free.

my advice is to hand them the man. q’s first and then hand them the store Q. i have learned not to just hand a cashier my stack of Q’s! never ever. I hand them two at a time. I watch the screen and I listen for the beep that it was scanned and accepted.

Me too Susan and my wags didn’t limit how many I did. No worries, didn’t take even close to all of the stock but actually bought 18 rolls. I’m set for Christmas/birthdays!

My Walgreens are getting very picky about coupons. When I placed the coupons in order, so the the Walg. coupons are first, they alway seperate and look through them first. They would not take 3 coupons for the tape. Also, when they have the B1G1 50% off on Gillette products and you use the B1G1 free coupon they would only take off the 50% price of the Gillette. Such a bummer!

My two closest stores depend on who the cashier is….I honestly didn’t know whether the 3 limit means only 3 total or you can do this deal 3 times. I bought 9 and only got a dirty look when I asked for her opinion. Ended up w/ 9 tape, 3 Gillette bw, 3 Gillette deoderants, 4 Oscar Meyer sandwiches, st ives bw, 2 soft soap bw for .04 plus tax….I’ll take it!

I got mine! Thanks… I had then scan the in store add first.. you have to for the two free ones to come off. It is like getting the sale price. Then give the two coupons. If you are not buying other stiff though.. You need a small filler because it will say coupon exceeds the amount. Just FYI!

Is it just me or does this coupon look like a fake. It lets you print out as many as you want and they all have the exact same number on them. Sorry it just looks fishy to me….

The coupon is directly from the manufacturer’s web site (3M makes Scotch), and that’s how they produce their coupons — in PDF format. I’m not sure why they set them up that way, but they do, and the coupons are both valid and accepted at stores as per usual. Of course, my advice to them would be to utilize a service like the “bricks” or “ecentives” coupons, but that may cost them extra, also.

I was looking at that yesterday in Target (scissors) and the Target coupon is actually a manufacturers coupon, so you can’t use both. Still, 99 cents is a good deal!

I tried this out this past Sunday. The cashier scanned the Walgreens store coupon first, then scanned three of the Scotch manufacturer coupons, and it worked fine.

I had $1.01 overage to cover some other items.
