      So here is an explanation:-
      Week 04/24
      2pks @ $5 = $10-2(.50cents)=10-1=$9 OOP (out of pocket)
      but you get $ 3 as RR = $9- $3 = $6 for 2 pks i.e. $3 for I pack of 12 rolls.

      week 05/1

      2pks @$5 = $10-2(.50cents)=$10-$1( Instant Value Coupon)=$9 – 2($ 1)= $9-$2=$7 OOP
      And you get $ 3 as RR = $7- $3 = $4 for 2 pks i.e. $2 for I pack of 12 rolls.

IVC- Instant Value cupon are found in the coupon booklets that you get at any walgreen store

RR – Register Reward are Ctalina coupons that you get at the register when you buy the product that has a register reward offer.(they are just like Khol’s cash)

Falguni, your explanation is hilarious. Much harder to understand than the original post.

      Here is my attempt! :)

      Sonia,
There is a great deal on toilet paper starting May 1st at Walgreens. You will need to print 2 coupons from the link in the post above and grab the May coupon book from the front of the store. You should buy 2 packages of the toilet paper, give your printed coupons, and show the coupon from the coupon book. You will pay $7.00 for the toilet paper and get a $3.00 coupon to use on your next purchase of anything at Walgreen’s. Great deal!

Debbie – The coupons are still there I just printed them, you have to go to Rewards and offers and then the coupons come up. This is how I got them. Hope this helps

    Kaylaly,

I love your explanation it is perfect! I need layman’s terms for beginners. I follow what you are saying regarding the May 1 sale and the coupons I need to use for the purchase. The RR are what is the most confusing when you go to pay. They are used on your NEXT purchase not when you pay for the item that shopping trip. I am new to this also, but I been following many sites for coupons and reading what everyone is posting to become educated on the process. Now I have two questions for you, one, can you download previous Red Plum, Smartsource, etc, coupons from March and the beginning of April and if so what web site is good for doing this. When you register on Facebook, like Lysol for an example, I can not find the coupon after I have singed up. I have run into this problem many times. Would you please advise on where to go for the coupon. Also wuold you please direct me to any Colgate coupons that are available and printable now, I’m having a hard time finding any. Thanks for all your help!

Now the only trick will be making it to the store when they actually have this item in:-)

    Mrs. Jones,

Most coupons (especially the good ones) have a print limit. They only allow so many people in the world to print them. These tend to run out pretty quickly. :/ I have seen a coupon reach limit in a matter of minutes after being posted. If you can no longer find a coupon that could be the issue. Also company websites change what coupons they offer on their sites pretty often as well so if there was a $1 off coupon for lysol wipes on the company website it may be changed to a $1 can of spray. Does that make sense?

I’ve avoided Walgreens for a while. Just was frustrated with their coupon policy and how fast RRs expire. Its been some time, I’ve seen a lot of good deals lately, I think its time to start going again!!

    MRS JONES,
THE NEWEST ISSUE OF ALL YOU HAS OVER $80 IN COUPONS, COLGATE IS IN THERE. YOU CAN PURCHASE IT AT WALMART FOR $2.50, SO WORTH IT, IT ALWAYS PAYS FOR ITSELF.

Lots of blogs are talking about this deal, but I’m used to buying “double rolls” not “big rolls”. Does anyone know how these compare?

Answered my own question.. The wags website shows that this 12pk is 233 sq ft. A 12pk of double rolls has 450 sq ft- so this is basically half that. It’s still a decent deal, just not as exciting as I’d hoped.

I hope there will still be some when I go! I live 30 minutes away from the closest Walgreens. Only make it to town once a week. Usually every good deal is gone. :(

Is there a list of what stores price match and what stores double coupons? Thank you.

You probably won’t be able to find a list like that, Karin, because the policies vary by region even within the same chain in many cases. Walmart and Target both price match nationally, but they do not double coupons.

My other questions are: I just finish watching the latest addition of extreme couponing. How did she get the soda in the cans of I guess 12 packs of at least 15 packs and still only paid $29. What coupon is that one?

go back and watch it,she didnt get the soda for that. Well actually I dont know which episode your talking about.Lol.. but the episode with the lady that buys all the mustard off the shelf {makes me furious} was arrested for coupon fraud. you know the one that has to put her makeup on and high black boots to go shopping!!!!!! Yea I go shopping like that. NOT! well she got nailed because she was using fraudulent coupons or should I say codes. It was on the tlc website, go read it, its hysterical. Have a great day!

Can you give a link to the TLC article? I looked for about an hour and got caught up in so many other articles about her that I never saw the one you mentioned.

I think there’s a hitch in our plan. Most coupons in the monthly Walgreens are “1 pre transaction” coupons. Since you have to buy 2 to get the reward that means you can only use 2 .50c/1 printed Cottonelle Q’s and 1 $1/1 Q from the May coupon book. It is still a great deal for me 8-)

      Patti,

Can you explain the “1 pre transaction coupon”? Is this yet another new and strange Wags coupon restriction?

      Many thanks!

Alot of the coupons say that in the coupon book but the register still takes the amount off of each item.

Just wondering where you seen the $3.00RR at because next weeks ad only says $5.00- $1.00 store coupon. Which would make it $4.00 minus the .50 manf. coupon leaves you with a total of $3.50. I don’t see a RR in the ad.

FYI – Received an email today from Catalina’s coupon network that stated starting 5/1 if you purchase 3 or more 12 pack Cottenelle TP, you will get a $4 ONYO coupon.

I believe it’s a national Catalina offer, not just a Walgreens specific RR deal.

    Greeting Everyone,
I enjoy your comments and they are very helpful. Has anyone “completed the trasaction,” so that we will know how it’s done? I’m confused, do I look for “the book,” do I use my coupons, are my coupons not going to work because they are this or that? Just wondering? Thank you for your time.

I did it today with no problems. Used (2) $0.50/1 cottonelle tp printables and the cashier typed in the code from walgreens may coupon book. Paid $7 + tax and received $3RR
Did another transaction since the RR printed out. Same exact thing. So 4 (12 pk) TP for $14 and have $6RR to use on something else. Thanks.
