Walmart: Wii Console Bundle & 2 Games for $124

December 17, 2010 by Heather @ Passion for Savings 27 Comments

Walmart is going to be running a gift card promotion on the Wii Console Bundle starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, December 17th.

Walmart Stores will be selling the Wii Console Bundle for just $199 with a $75 Walmart gift card! That’s like paying just $124 after the gift card, which is the best price that we’ve seen on the complete bundle this holiday season.

Remember, this offer will only be available in stores, but you can get details on Walmart.com.

I was just told that in Wisconsin they cannot give out the $75. gift card. They are only allowed $25.

How come the $75 doesn’t apply in WI? I live in WI and was hoping to jump on this. : /

Also from WI and don’t understand WHY WI would be excluded?
Rec’d an ad via email for this too!

Interesting. I just got off the phone with the Walmart manager here in Hudson. It is true, there is a state law of some sort that prevents them from issuing a $75 gc. Lucky for me, I am 10 minutes from a Walmart in MN, so I will head there.

If you take the ad from Target for $177 and combine that with the $75 gift card you’re paying $102.

Thank you for this info! I’ve never price-matched at Wal-mart, do you just tell the cashier before they ring up your item?

I just took in the target ad and told them I wanted it price matched and at first he asked if Target was also offering the $75 gift card. I said no but I cant use the walmart $75 gift card towards the wii so it would still be $199 before price matching and he gave it to me! YAY!!

Got mine tonight in Florida! Thank you for posting this or I would have missed it! They only had 10 available at my store and at just a little over 9 pm…. there was a line long enough for them all to be gone! I was #1 in line:-) No red ones though! They said those were sold out before the sale!

I was able to get ours too! Yea!
I also only heard about it by your post; nothing in the newspaper or at the store….i have been there the PAST THREE DAYS

I thought it was kind of funny that they also have the ZhuZhu pets for $4 again (I already wasted enough time to get them at that price; so I don’t need them; but I could have saved myself that time)

Oklahoma is also excluded from the $75 gift card on the Wii Bundle. Why does Walmart not state this on their website, that some states are excluded. I live in Oklahoma and was very disappointed when we found out. We live only 30 minutes from a Texas Walmart and could easily gone there instead of the one in our home town of Altus.

I went in at 4 p.m. to see if my store was participating (south Jersey) and to see how it was going to work. Would I get a ticket, did I have to wait in line, or what? They said I could have one now, just get in line to pay for it and the guy would bring it to the register for me. So by 4:15 p.m. I walked out with one. Thanks for posting this deal. It’s the best price I’ve seen anywhere.

My walmart wouldn’t price match target’s ad either because they said it was a special ediition Mario bundle. Then on top of it, I walked away after arguing with them and then came back to look at the name of the fabric maker thing my daughter wanted and the cashier was talking to another employee and telling her what a joke I was that I was trying to price match it and I overheard it. Boy am I ticked off. I think a nice letter to corporate is in store for this.

Thank you so much for posting this! The kids’ Wii just broke about an hour after reading this post in the email. Being a bit of a techie, I tried various things to fix it to no avail. Hubby was able to go out and snag one. Too bad I didn’t read about the Target ad earlier, but the kids are happy because they are up and running and we are happy because we got a deal.

Yeah I tried at 2 Walmart to get a price match and they wouldn’t do it because they said that technically with the gc there’s was cheaper. Still a good deal.
