You may have noticed the announcement in the recent circular. While Target begins to expand their electronics department nationwide, they are also expanding the services offered to electronic consumers.
Now, in addition to delivery and installation starting at $99, you can get FREE technical support for electronics purchased at Target. Trying to figure out how to sync that new i-Pod? Or how to set up your entertainment center? Provide them with a receipt number and they’ll walk you through it.
To try it out, simply call 1-877-myTGTtech (1-877-698-4883) and have your receipt or Target.com packing slip, along with the information on your electronic such as model number, purchase date, and purchase location.
The FREE support with your purchase never expires, so hold on to those receipts!
Has anyone used Target’s new technical support? They say no question is too hard or too easy, so what was your experience?

I would suggest photocopying your receipt … I’ve noticed some receipts, maybe not Targets but I know Best Buys fade over time making it really hard to read anything on them. Just a thought. :)

I scan mine into the computer and save. I also then email the scan to my Gmail acct.

I’ve actually called their tech support to ask a question about a product I bought years ago. Not only did they happily answer my question, but they didnt require my receipt info. It was a great experience!

I take a snapshot of my receipts with my cameraphone and email to myself. I have a file for my receipts as I loose them over time. This way I pull it up and the ink never fades.

I don’t know what I would have thrown out my older, but still good, TV or that Universal Remote that everybody says works for all tv. My tech helped me program the Universal – then figured out that the remote doesn’t work with the converter box. My cat took care of that remote last Xmas. He then helped me realized TVs have gone down and maybe I might consider a newer model for the new year.
