The key to these gorgeous curls is to use a large barrel curling wand! My daughter is demonstrating a 32mm curling wand — the bigger the better. I prefer a curling wand because the curls look so natural, and you never have to worry about crimping lines in your hair with the clip.
The main difference between using a curling wand and a traditional clip curling iron is that you hold a curling wand basically upside down, as pictured. After wrapping the hair around once, you can pull it tight and close to your head, and then you just continue wrapping the rest of the hair around to the tip. This can take a little work to get the hang of, but once you do, you’ll love the results! Just be sure to wear the protective glove that comes with most curling wands to avoid burning your fingers.
