I am very interested in ibotta, but will not sign up because I don’t believe they need access to my contacts, my camera, my WiFi info and the rest of the entire list of my private life. I read every app requirements very carefully and having a smartphone only 3 months am shocked what information a person will give to save a little money. What would they do with my camera? My WiFi info? I work in system security and years ago when my husband got his first laptop we covered the camera with paper and people laughed, until they found they were being watched. Now Samsung has to admit if you sign up for voice activation on their TV they can listen to your conversations. We don’t have to worry about people or the government stealing our information we are just handing it over. Once the company no longer requires information not necessary for the business at hand I will sign up. As a responsible person you should inform your users what privacy they give away to save some money and that you are getting 10 dollars for every one you get to sign up. I believe you should get paid only after you put up a disclosure statement.
