Regional Coupon: BOGO Purex (Makes for FREE Detergent at CVS)

April 15, 2009 by Deal Seeking Mom 81 Comments

BOGO Purex Laundry Detergent CouponIt seems that this coupon is regional based on zip code, but hopefully many of you will be able to print this BOGO Purex Laundry Detergent coupon. Print limit reached now.

If you’re lucky enough to be in one of the locales they’re targeting (it should show in the upper left column or click household to verify), run to CVS to redeem it for FREE laundry detergent by pairing it with their BOGO sale through Saturday!!!

(Of course you know I had to print it right away so that accounts for the print limit reached on my image, LOL! Thanks, Mercedes!)

On the B1G1 offers-some stores will not take 2 coupons nor will they take a B1G1 coupon with that kind of offer. If you are buying 1 product and getting the 2nd free, you can’t use a coupon on the free item-they will not give you money back.

Sharon, they’re not giving you money back on your purchase. But if the stores you’re referring to are CVS stores, they’re wrong and you should contact customer service. Someone else pasted the email they received above, and it’s very similar to the one I receive. It clearly states that when you use a buy one get one coupon with a buy one get one sale at CVS, you should receive both items free. So it’s worth a little bit of effort to try and help educate your store.

I have a copy of there policy if you can contact me and let……never mind I can copy and paste it I think….
    Dear Ms. Erica Terry,

Thank you for contacting CVS! I have listed below our coupon policy information. Hope this is helpful for you.

CVS/pharmacy does accept manufacturer’s coupons that have been obtained from an approved Web site sponsored by the manufacturer. The coupon should be complete and contain a bar code that can be scanned at the register.

Please feel free to visit http://www.cvs.com and go to the “Save With In-store Coupons” box and click on “start printing now”. To print coupons, check the box next to the Clip! icon, (or click “Select All Offers”) and then click “Print Now”. Please note that these coupons can be redeemed at CVS/pharmacy stores only and all manufacturer requirements must be met.

Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. CVS Extra Buck coupons are earned when you make a qualifying purchase. These print out instantly at the register upon reaching the threshold for the offer. Free coupons or “offers at the register” are unearned and issued to you as a valued member of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare program. These coupons take the form of “open ended” coupons such as $3 off $15 or a certain dollar amount off a specific item. In any given transaction our registers will allow only one “open ended” coupon per transaction and more than one Extra Buck coupon provided the purchase threshold has been met for each offer amount on a per-transaction basis.

Thank you again, Ms. Terry, for contacting CVS! We value your patronage and look forward to serving you again soon.

    Sincerely,

    Jennifer

    Graciela-

I think that emailing the coupons that we’ve already printed to you would be considered coupon fraud (it would be like copying a coupon, right?), which is why a lot of retailers are not accepting printable coupons anymore.
You’ll probably have to put this one in the “I missed it” category, unfortunately.

ooh guess what? i’m on the phone with CVS right now, and she said IT IS corporate policy to accept BOGO coupons on BOGO sales on the store! She apologized for the manager being rude to me, and asked if I’d still like to use my coupons! I said yes, and I’m on hold right now. I’ll update later!

Ok, the customer service lady called my CVS, and the manager that said I was frauding CVS wasn’t there, but the manager on duty already knew that it is coporate policy to accept them, and had he been there he would have accepted it. He’s going to make sure the other manager is on the same page, and the customer service lady is forwarding everything to the district manager. And that store manager wants to make sure I get into CVS today and get to use my coupons. wahoooo! I wouldn’t have even tried it, unless I knew that it was corporate policy, like I had seen from so many ladies on this forum and the other site I frequent, AFullCup. Thanks for the support, it does pay to call customer service!

I told got the slam from CVS. Well they tried anyway. I had a 2 BOGO coupons. The cashier keep telling me that I was a big fraud and there was no way they would take these coupons. Her words were “these are already BOGO so no way am I going to accept these. you won’t have to pay anything for these”. I replied “my point exactly” and that I do this all the time with no trouble. She finally asked someone (manager maybe) and she told her to just scan it and see if it works. Well, Dahh, it did. So I walked outta there with 4 jugs of Purex and (2) 10 packs of BOGO STALE Wrigleys gum for around $3.00 Guess I had to pay sales tax on my detergent. I emailed CVS corporate about my “satisfying” experience with that crabby cashier.

When i went to the site to download the coupon, it had reached its limit. :( This has been happening to me so often, I am wondering if I will ever get some “free” coupons. It is very discouraging.

I got mine, no sales tax here in PA so it came to $0. The manager rang me up and while she didn’t aplaud me (I think there was a little eye rolling) she didn’t give me any problems either. Yeah, I will love having this around for my rugs, car wash towels and stuff since it really isn’t our normal brand!
