Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!
Being able to see clearly and easily is key to a child’s success in school. If you can’t see what’s going on, how can you possibly learn? As many as one in four kids won’t be able to see properly as they head back to school. Annual eye exams can help undetected vision problems to be caught early so that children are getting the most out of school.
To highlight how important eye and vision health is I’ve teamed up with VSP Vision Care, the nation’s largest not-for-profit vision benefits and services company to offer you this amazing iPad giveaway. The iPad can help as several applications are built to boost visual acuity and overall eye health, making them perfect for doing eye exercises and keeping your eyes in shape.
Visit VSP’s website, SeeMuchMore.com to find out what you can do for your vision, find out interesting eye facts, watch videos with Bill Nye the Science Guy, play video games and more!

I have VSP vision care insurance along with my Blue Cross insurance.
I learned that VSP is a not-for-profit organization! I never knew that before. I guess I thought they were just another big money making insurance company like so many others.
Yep, I’d love that iPad!

I learned that the doctor can see signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol by looking at the blood vessels in your eyes.

Very interesting information. I like that the plan is backed by an Opthamologist who is will to represent himself for VSP. Also I didn’t realize that 60% of children who had learning difficulties also had vision problems. Makes sense now that I think about it. One more thing I didn’t know but learned, is that if I want to join the plan I also have to enroll in the
“Consumer Choice Association” which allows me to safe extra money through discounts and exclusive offers.

My son had surgery at one on both eyes due to infantile glaucoma and also began wearing glasses due to myopia. We were very fortunate to have VSP for those early eye appts. as well as for the glasses. Early detection saved my son’s eyesight, truly. Please also be aware…many states offer free eye exams for babies b/n the ages of 6 and 12 months via the InfantSEE program!
