Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

by Tara Kuczykowski on June 16, 2010 · 1,094 comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I'm always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I'd like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I've mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it's actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I've always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There's also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they're used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

I'm new to couponing. I started with pocket, but they're not big enough now. I'm looking for new ways to organize. I'm thinking about putting in envelopes in a bigger box. But might be inconvenent to bring to store. This one looks good!

I use a plastic shoe box with a tight fitting lid for my coupons, which are filed by catagory. This is a cumberson way to use coupons in the store.

i use a plastic envelope pouch. It is really a smaller version of an accordion flle folder. I labeled each pocket pouch with major food categories, and I place my coupons in the appropriate pouch. It's not as bulky as a binder, but I can slip it in my purse or reusable bag. I keep paper clips handy so when I shop I clip the coupons together so they're ready for the cashier.

35 Donna Weatherholt June 16, 2010 at 11:25 pm

I file my inserts and cut as needed. I have 2 accordion coupon wallets, one for Meijer and the other for the drugstores and restaurants. I also have a box for loose coupons. The couponizer looks AMAZING!

36 Sarah Elyce June 16, 2010 at 11:32 pm

I use a combination of methods: binder for non-inserts and any inserts I've cut but haven't used, filing for whole inserts, then envelopes and coupon wallets for in my purse for use during pre-planned purchases. I like the look of the Couponizer though and would love to give it a try!

I use a combination of two little divided portfolios (one for groceries and another for drug stores) and a notebook (for keeping track of rebates and my weekly shopping lists for each store) and they all go in my coupon bag that lives with me - never know when you'll need a coupon!

41 ashley June 17, 2010 at 12:34 am

I use a wallet that has three compartments. And if I have too many coupons then I throw it in a plastic bag. At the register I am one of those people who takes too much time. Sometimes I come home and find out there were others coupons I could have used. I really need this couponizer.
