Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

by Tara Kuczykowski on June 16, 2010 · 1,094 comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I'm always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I'd like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I've mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it's actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I've always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There's also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they're used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

17 Betty June 17, 2010 at 7:49 am

I found a coupon organizer at the local dollar store - that's what I currently use.

18 Kelly June 17, 2010 at 7:49 am

Oh my this is awesome!!! Right now I use an index card filer and organize my coupons in a lot of breakdowns, IE: Shavers, Shampoo, Diapers, Frozen Pizza, Frozen dessert, cheese, etc. This is a super easy way to organize, however, I hate lugging that file thing around b/c it's so bulky! There have also been a few times it's almost been knocked out of my hand when I'm trying to find a coupon. Not fun to clean up & re-organize!

I use a small accordian style coupon book.

21 Kristy June 17, 2010 at 8:58 am

i use a coupon organizer and a binder. This is kind of tiresome though trying to keep up with both and knowing what is where.

22 Ellen June 17, 2010 at 9:01 am

Great item! I currently use a three ring binder with folders inside.

23 Jenn June 17, 2010 at 9:09 am

I started with an accordion coupon folder, but that lasted a mere month, and now I have too many coupons! So now, I use the box system. I bought a photo box from Michael's, made dividers using old greeting cards, and now can store TONS of coupons for easy reference! Would love to have a better system though that will TRAVEL with me! The box is great at home, but less than ideal for bringing with you to the store.

I currently have a little plastic coupon divider. (the cheap one's that look a little bigger than a wallet). I'd love to win this, when I purchase something that's on my list that I have a coupon for, my coupon's currently go into a pocket and get all wrinkled!
