I’ve been teaching my little builder, my grandson, to love music by singing when I rock him. He’s 18 months old and loves to be sung to. At times he almost hums along with me. I’ve always had music in my life and I want to build that foundation for him
Jamie
I’d love to have this for my baby boy that already loves music so much :-)

We sing in the van and dance to music at home. The kids love it!

We use items around the house for instruments. Paper rolls filled with rice and dried beans and closed with paper and glue make maracas, pots and cereal boxes for drums, things like that!

I make everything into a song. Putting on shoes, brushing teeth, etc. We also have a piano in the house and I encourage the kids to “play” songs on it. They love to hear it make noise!

we make up songs. Before riding in the car and we see something… We make up songs about the weather, traffic, people we see. Music should be heard everywhere! It puts on a whole new atmosphere in the car or wherever we are when there is music playing. We love music. I’ve even been known to sing one of their story books to them instead of reading it to them. They love it!
