Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!
If you were ever obsessed with the bright lights that fill the night sky as a child, then you’ll know the magic that it contains for young minds. Foster that interest in your own child by opening up the universe to them and letting them explore the stars and the planets that are out there beyond Earth. Scholastic has a fantastic interactive activity book, Klutz Guide to the Galaxy, that does just that.
About the Book: Explore the universe without leaving the comfort of your backyard. When the scientists at Klutz Labs tackle outer space, they not only ask questions like “Where’s the Big Dipper” but also “If I lived on planet Mercury, am I already old enough to drive?” Use the included telescope, red light for night use, sundial, and astrolab to start exploring our great galaxy.
Three Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Klutz Guide To The Galaxy Prize Pack that includes:
- The Klutz Guide to the Galaxy
- Backyard Stars
- Backyard Stars
- Invasion of the Bristlebots
- The Solar Car Book

I never could figure out the big dipper and little dipper. Maybe my kids could use this book to figure it out and teach me. LOL.

My favorite thing to do in the summer when I was younger was to lay out in the yard to look up at the stars. I even remember laying up in the hay loft of the barn and looking out the large door at the shooting stars.

I was a big fan of space and the stars. I was a member of our young astronauts club in elementary school, loved the star labs that would come to our school. My dream was to be an astronaut. I had the astronaut barbie and the astronaut cabbage patch kid. My grandpa and I went fishing alot as a child and we would be out at 4 am so we would have a great view of the stars. I loved to watch them. My 11 yr old is interested in stars now and can point out a few constellations. My 7 yr old tries as well.
