Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Nook Highchair!

by Tara Kuczykowski on June 9, 2010 · 1,170 comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

If you're in the market for a new high chair, the Joovy Nook should definitely be an option you look into. This thing is fantastic! My only regret is not finding it sooner so that I could have used it with more of my kids.

Some of my favorite features:

  • Folds up ultra compact -- this is so important when you have a lot of baby gear and not a lot of room!
  • Five-point harness -- my oldest boy was quite the Houdini, and I'm sure this feature would have kept him put. As it is, it keeps my two-year-old securely in place, and the padded straps look quite comfortable.
  • Swing-open tray -- juggling a baby and a plate of food, all while trying to keep the dog from snatching a taste, is tough. The swing-open tray makes it easy to open with one hand, leaving your other hand free for wrangling!
  • Easy to clean -- the leatherette version wipes clean easily, and the bright, cheery fabric covers can be tossed right in the washing machine!

Best of all the Joovy Nook just looks cool! I'm a sucker for contemporary design, and this is eye-catching, yet sturdy. Choose from black or white leatherette or orange or green fabric.

I need a highchair that's not 12 years old! LOL - having one that old it's ripped and bulky and does not store easily...plus after that many years (and nearly that many kids), I need one that's easier to clean! LOL

Of course safety is #1!! Then of course looks and ease of use. Really cool how it folds up for easy storage however with daily use many times a day I don't foresee it being put up anytime soon ;0) Good thing it looks amazing

I look for easy storage--compactness--since I don't have any lil guys in highchairs anymore, I like to stow it away for when the wee ones visit!

Wow! I would LOVE to have this as I have alot of kiddos at my house, but not alot of extra space!! Any other fold-up chair just does not look sturdy.

I haven't purchased a high chair yet but it seems to me I would be looking for all the amazing bullet points this one has to offer! I especially love the feature that you can throw the fabric right into the washing machine!

17 hazel June 10, 2010 at 7:47 am

very mom user friendly, compact design is great in a small home like mine, and the design is beautiful

I would like a high chair that isn't so big. Also, one that has a tray that covers back into my son's armpits! He loses so much food into his lap b/c the tray doesn't extend far enough back.

Easy to clean & folds to store would be fantastic in a high chair!

I'm a first time mom of a 14 month-old. I thought I wanted a highchair with lots of bells and whistles so I got a great one from Craigslist. Now I know better...that thing is IMPOSSIBLE to clean! I would looove this Joovy high chair because it looks simple to clean.

We look @ safety and price, but also how easy is it to clean. After having twins, I learned what looks neat, isn't always easy to clean!!

34 Jennifer Nick June 10, 2010 at 8:59 am

I want one that won't tip over no matter how much wriggling around they do! And of course, easy to clean too. Thanks!

Safety is my #1 priority. Then it would have to be the amount of space it takes up. We have a small house so every square foot needs to be utilized.

41 Darcy Davis June 10, 2010 at 9:14 am

I'm definitely looking for something that is easy to clean. I'm having another baby in less than 4 weeks so it would be awesome to get something new! A long time ago I thought the wooden ones looked good but someone told me never to get one they are hard to clean. Also, getting one that is easy to get the child in and out of would be great! (oh and adjustable with the height!)
