Win-It Wednesday: Joovy Caboose Ultralight!

by Tara Kuczykowski on June 16, 2010 · 1,339 comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

My husband would be the first to tell you that the last thing we need is another stroller. I've amassed quite the collection through five kids while trying to find that perfect stroller for our family. For a long time our double-jogging stroller was the stroller of the moment, but now that the kids are a little older (and heavier), it's become a little unwieldy to maneuver.

He rolled his eyes when the Joovy Caboose Ultralight box arrived, but he was willing to give it a try, which we did on a recent trip to the Columbus Zoo. I really wish we'd found this stroller ages ago, because it's very versatile for a growing family. Unlike our double-jogging stroller, it will accommodate an older child and a baby carrier. Plus as your children get older, it allows for one child to sit and another to either sit or stand in the back. This is perfect for my two-year-old who is constantly changing his mind, but it also appeals to my older girls.

Parents will also appreciate the neoprene parent organizer, something my jogging stroller was sadly lacking in. The large storage basket holds all of your gear, with room for additional packages that you may pick up on your outings.

Other features:

  • 3-position front seat recline
  • 4-wheel suspension/linked rear brake
  • Removable tray
  • Oversized canopy
  • Folds compactly

I'd encourage even first-time parents to give the Joovy Caboose Ultralight a good look. You may not have a need for a double stroller at the moment, but you'll definitely get your money's worth out of this over the years!

Have 5 grandbabies that can use this for our walks and trips to the amusement park, zoo and all the fun places we like to go all summer

2 Ellen June 17, 2010 at 9:00 am

With three little boys, I could definitely use a new double stroller!

3 Katie June 17, 2010 at 9:05 am

We could use a double stroller like this. I have a four year old that would be able to jump on this nicely. We don't have a double stroller and don't have income so we won't be getting one when our second arrives in a few days.

We are having our second baby this September so we are in need of a double stroller. I have a two year old so this would be a perfect match for us!

Oh, I could really use this, I have 3 kids, 7, 5, and 2. We have had several different strollers, and eventually got rid of all of them, they are either too heavy, or not a smooth ride, or not big enough. I really need something like this for our upcoming vacation, this would be perfect to push the younger two in through all the things we want to do, that I just know their little legs won't hold up for. Thanks for the chance to win!

Would love to have this for our growing family!! We have two children already...one that is too big for a stroller, but could possibly stand...and we are discussing having more!

16 Amanda T June 17, 2010 at 9:53 am

Everytime I think we can go back to just a single for the 16 m.o. my 4 y.o. whines about having to walk again! I end up keeping the second seat hooked in my P&T "just in case!" Perhaps a sit and stand for her to hop on and off at will would be just the ticket?

17 Gin June 17, 2010 at 10:01 am

We are expecting #4 in Sept. could really use a stroller that would work with any of the three older ones and the baby! :)

18 Danielle T June 17, 2010 at 10:07 am

We really need one just like this! We're expecting our second next month, and have a very energetic three year old who I'm sure would make great use of the seat in the back!

33 Chrissy June 17, 2010 at 11:47 am

With baby three on the way a double stroller would be helpful when attempting to walk around with the soon to be two year old and soon to be newborn!

41 Aimee G. June 17, 2010 at 12:08 pm

I've got three kids age 4 and under and so this looks perfect!

I would love a double stroller that is lightweight. I have a huge buggy that I lug around. I would like to have another baby in the near future and would need a double stroller, but for now could use the double stroller to carry bags in one seat while I'm at the mall.

We hope to add to our 3 person family in the future. I actually mentioned this stroller to DH a month ago! Thanks!

46 Melissa June 17, 2010 at 12:24 pm

I hope that I need a double stroller soon, but even for now this would be great when I go out with my sister and my nephew, then we only have to use one stroller, especially when we go to the zoo.

47 Amanda K June 17, 2010 at 12:48 pm

I will be needing a double stroller in the very near future!

48 Janelle June 17, 2010 at 1:20 pm

I am hoping to have a second child soon and this would be one thing to check off the list to buy! It looks great!

50 Janella June 17, 2010 at 1:43 pm

We've got a second baby on the way, so we're definitely in the market for a double stroller.
