Every morning when I'm getting dressed I wish I could create a pair of jean that would suck 40 pounds off my butt! HAHAHAHA!!

Like most little girls, I loved designing my own clothes. Mostly on paper, but, I did sew some clothes for my little sister when I was about 15. My 4 yr. old granddaughter would just love this...a real diva. She just loves to create her own style and a couple of wks. ago,we went to an art show where they had a fashion show for little kids. There were scraps of material donated by a recycling club and I helped her design her outfit for the fashion show...she has a real flair for design, even at 4 yrs. old. You should have seen her coming down the runway...a real model !! I can just see her face if I win this and give it to her <3

My oldest daughter LOVES to design clothes! She spends hours drawing things out on paper, then tapes them to our refridgerator! She would adore this prize!

I don't have a ton of fashion sense, but I bet my 4 girls would love it! :-)

I watch Project Runway and am always amazed at how they create what they do from nothing. I so could not do that. It definitely takes a special gift.

14 Debbie J February 25, 2010 at 1:09 pm

My daughter has been designing her and her friends' clothes for years - on paper at least. She'd absolutely love this!

My daughter would love this idea. She has been picky about what she wears since she was 2! this is a great idea and seems pretty affordable compared to some boutiques and custom outfits :)

25 Mrs. Leonard February 25, 2010 at 2:12 pm

As a teen, I was fortunate enough to have a very talented grandmother - she could sew anything I imagined! I designed and chose fabric for many of my dresses for dances (homecoming, prom, etc.) and it was so much fun! Plus, I NEVER had to worry about another girl wearing the same dress as me!

I guess I've never really dreamed of designing my own clothes. Probably the closest I've ever gotten is playing with paper dolls as a kid, trying out different wardrobe variations on them!! I did used to sew some of my own clothes and enjoyed that process--choosing a pattern and fabric and then creating something out of that.

I used to dream about designing my own clothes but the closest I ever got was using the fashion plates game (where you pick the outfits and use "rubbings" to create it). My daughter would love this.
