I've never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I'm changing a bag.
So I was very interested to learn about Hefty's new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I've noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I'd either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

I look for garbage bags that help control odor since our garbage can is in the kitchen.
The most important thing is that it won't tear under the weight of the trash. So strength is what I look for.
The primary feature I look for is strength. There's no point in buying cheap bags if they tear on you so you end up using a second bag and wasting time.

I love the bags that you just pull the little yellow band and it sinches the bag you for you. It also makes it fun and easy for my son to do.

drawstrings are most important for me - I can just pull it up & out of the can. of course, it also has to be strong enough to hold everything, but since we recycle, our trash really isn't that heavy anyway!

When buying garbage bags for household use, I look for sturdy bags that wont rip. I also need ones that will not leak through (for kitchen use).
