Win-It Wednesday: $50 Target Gift Card from Hefty (2 Winners!)

by Tara Kuczykowski on September 29, 2010 · 2,115 comments

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I've never been a fan of scented trash bags. The scent is always so floral and overpowering, and I always feel like it rubs off on me when I'm changing a bag.

So I was very interested to learn about Hefty's new Unscented Odor Block Technology. These trash bags help neutralize garbage odors with no added scent. I was a little skeptical as to whether it would actually reduce garbage odor, but it really does work. Even though we frequently change bags, in the past I've noticed that after a few trash bag changes, my trash can would start to smell less than ideal, so I'd either have to get out the Lysol or take it outside and rinse it with Clorox.

I haven't had to do that since I started using the Hefty Trash Bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology! I've several good sales on these lately, so it's nice to know we don't have to sacrifice price for this great product, especially since there's a $1 off coupon available right now.

Join Hefty's Facebook community and you'll get a $1/1 Hefty Waste Bag printable to use on your next purchase.

Two lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a $50 Target gift card courtesy of Hefty Trash Bags.

To enter, tell me what you look for in a garbage bag. Do you like the flexible kind that stretches as you fill it up or pull it out of the can, or maybe the drawstrings are the most important part for you?

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

2 Deanna September 30, 2010 at 5:35 pm

I look for garbage bags that help control odor since our garbage can is in the kitchen.

3 Nad September 30, 2010 at 5:35 pm

The most important thing is that it won't tear under the weight of the trash. So strength is what I look for.

4 Carmen September 30, 2010 at 5:35 pm

The primary feature I look for is strength. There's no point in buying cheap bags if they tear on you so you end up using a second bag and wasting time.

I love the bags that you just pull the little yellow band and it sinches the bag you for you. It also makes it fun and easy for my son to do.

drawstrings are most important for me - I can just pull it up & out of the can. of course, it also has to be strong enough to hold everything, but since we recycle, our trash really isn't that heavy anyway!
