I usually buy bananas when they are on sale , which is often -- my 17 month old LOVES her bananas! I also buy the family size Banquet dinners. Although not the healthiest meals, it is a really cheap way to buy meat. I used my $5/$20 coupon and bought 9 Banquet entrees and a bag of apples for $15 plus tax! Paired with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, it's a cheap meal but filling enough for my husband!

Sav a lot is opening a new store in our town, should be open in the next couple weeks.
I scan the isles for great deals on brand name items. Thanks for the giveaway!

I usually shop right after the sale paper comes out because our store has been known to run out of the featured items pretty quickly. I always look for deals on the staple items so that I can stock up...And I usually buy alot of the canned goods!

I have only shopped at Sav a Lot once in the last few years. But, we just moved back to where one is about ten minutes away. I noticed that they have good deals on veggies. I'd love to stock up on canned veggies for soups and stuff!

I don't shop Save-A-Lot too often, but you can get great deals by pairing up coupons on name brand items and using the $5/$20 - as already mentioned they have the cheapest bananas around and their produce tastes great!
I go to Sav A Lot for bananas & milk - the cheapest I can find in this area. I also check out their circular for good deals. Lately, they've had Hillshire Farms and Jimmy Dean sausages priced nicely.

The best thing to buy at save-a-lot is perogies. They're in the frozen food section, they are $1 a box, and you can get two meals out of them. Plus, they taste GREAT!
There are certain items that Sav-A-Lots carries that other stores do not. I shop there for those items and the savings.
