My WalMart pulled all the 5-count Allegras (there were at least thirty of them) off the shelf on Saturday night. I spoke with the girl who was taking them away and she told me they’ll go back up when the coupon expires. From reading other blogs it looks like this is a common WalMart practice. It doesn’t make any sense to me since they would get reimbursed for the full-value of the coupon from the folks at Allegra, and it would cover the overage, plus they’re losing a chance to sell a lot of the product. I think the folks at WalMart are still pretty coupon unfriendly even though they say they’ve changed their ways.

we have noticed this seems to be going on a lot at walmart, the coupon comes out and the product disappears, especially the first week it is out. The other thing that is happening at our walmart is that the clearance shelf is full of things that are on the regular shelves cheaper than they are on the clearance shelf.
