They should adjust the coupon, sometimes the cashier is unaware on how to handle coupons and adjusting them. I run into this almost everytime I go to Walmart. Very frustrating. Just politely ask for a supervisor.
There is no reason for them not to do this for you. Make sure you bring in a print out of their Coupon policy, it states that they do accept Manufacturer coupons. Hope this helps.

Does Walmart have a policy written anywhere that states that you can use a coupon for an item that is less than the face value? In other words $1.00 coupon to be used on a product that is $.97. My walmart wont ajdust the coupon if the item is less?

Hi Kelly - Yes, you are correct the 1.7 oz. is located in the travel section. The coupon states that it is valid on the 1.7 oz. or larger and does not exclude travel size items so you shouldn't have any problems using it on the travel size. However, some stores will adjust the coupon down to the value of the items.
